Today is national bubble gum day and it made me think about how many years it has been since I had chewed any sort of gum.
When I was younger I would often buy bubble gum because in those days you got a free card in the packet. These cards had different pictures on them. My friends and I would often swap cards if we had duplicates and we all brought albums to stick them into. There was also another bubble gum brand called `Bazooka Joe' or something like that , You could save the wrappers and when you had a certain amount you could send them to an address and get a free gift.

I remember buying bubble gum to get Beatles cards. Too bad they must have gotten thrown out. I chew sugarless gum now. Have a good weekend.

Those Beatles cards would have been collectable now. It is a shame that we throw things out, but we cannot keep everything.
I wish I had kept all my bubble gum cards , and my stamp album.

I remember Bazooka Joe bubble gum. I used to love it. Along with Bubble Yum. I had forgotten about them.

Bazooka Joe bubble gum used to be a bright pink colour and it had a distinctive taste from what I can remember. I don`t think I tried Bubble Yum. We had Wrigley`s gum, but that was chewing gum not bubble gum. Bubble gum was more fun than chewing gum.

It's been years since I last chewed gum, too. So, I definitely relate

It is surprising how our habits change as we get older. I remember people getting into trouble at school for chewing gum.
