Our mind, and the limitations of it in our life

There are said to be various parts of our minds.
One part receives information into it; another part analyses the information received; and yet another part will try to direct us to follow that information.
We all have an ability to have insights into how things work, and operate, and as to how to best do things.
These insights are received to us from our mind, with its connection to our intuition, gut feeling, or higher self, though, or sometimes, they can be generated within our mind too.
When our mind listens, or takes in, these inner prompts, this part of our mind then serves us more fully, when it allows us to follow the inner prompt, without trying to interfere in its following.
On its own, our mind cannot do much, as it is mostly just a machine, that functions with the input coming into it, from other areas of our total being. Our mind can throw ideas at us though, generated by its trying to work out solutions to our problems.
Once we receive an insight though, what we often then do with it, is to try to use a bigger part of our mind, which will try to grasp the meaning of the insight, and see if there is any real beneficial use in it for itself. In other words, our minds try to understand the insight, before it will act on it, to follow it.
This mostly slows down our actioning of the insights, and we might even then not follow the insight at all, as it is then to late to follow it, as the right timing has passed, and actioning the insight will not be so beneficial then.
We often need to act on insights right away, before we try to fathom them out by understanding their meaning/possible usefulness for/to us.
If we have an insight to take a different route, when we are driving our car to work, for example, but then we delay taking that insight, we will miss the turn off, and keep going, and then we will see the reason for the insight coming to us; there is a major traffic jam up ahead that we are now a part of too, and which we could have avoided, by our following our intuition.
The gut feeling was serving us usefully, but our mind messed up the insight, by delaying us in its immediate application.
We have to be able to recognise messages coming to us from our intuition then, and we should also listen to inner promptings from which could be coming from God, even via his Holy Spirit, or an angel, talking directly to our heart.
Our mind is only one part of us that generates such inputting messages to us.
We can receive messages in many other ways, even while we are dreaming, we can receive messages that will bypass our conscious mind to get through to us too.
We are far greater beings than just our being the mind, or brain in our heads.

Do not be limited to your only being your mind. Be the whole person, your body, mind, and soul. Live for God, not just for your own satisfaction.

Although I know there are many factors that hinder us in life, you are so right about the mind having such an effect..though it can be very limited sadly. No matter how humans have tried to expand their mind..it is still very limited..

Yes, if we limit our life by only living from our mind, we only live not even half a life.
We are far more than our just being our mind.

I have to agree so begin my days and end them with prayer, If anything I know I can rely on the Lord, I try to train my brain every day and that makes me happy because I learn a bit more each day,

Yes, we can try to train our brain, but a lot of brains are hard to train, and they are stubborn in following their own ways, and habits.
Only with God's help can we begin a new life, and think differently, inspired by his Holy Spirit, in our lives.

I am not sure if I would like to read another person's mind, as I even have trouble reading my own mind sometimes, and I am left wondering why I did certain things, in my life.
An evil person can usually be identified by their actions too, but some are subtle/cunning in disguising their bad ways, and of trying to fool us, but even if we could read their mind, maybe their minds are muddled, and addled, and it is their bad heart, following out of control emotions, that mostly drives them too, to be bad people.
Maybe reading such a warped mind would not warn us much about the evil intentions of their hearts.

Yes, it is good to think things over, and not just to react too emotionally, reactively, too quickly, without enough considered thought too.

I had experiences when grappling with issues with no easy solutions when I receive a sudden insight while deep asleep.
Maybe, the deep consciousness kicked into play to nudge me past the rut.
Even while doing repetitive chores, I tend to think of some deeper meanings in them. My mind also wanders during those times to latch on to things that are of no immediate concern but come in handy later.
The whole process is well-engineered by our creator for us to survive and even reflect on our existence. Let us make full use of our whole being.

Yes, a few people have noted having that experience of solutions coming to them when they are dreaming, or even just daydreaming.
A wandering mind usually has a purpose of its own, and it is trying to help us in some way too.
For a full life, and a meaningful life, we need to live, and to love, from all parts of ourselves.
Jesus Christ gave this advice too:
"You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbour, as yourself."
Luke, chapter 10, verse 27.

@Shiva49 Yes, most people in the World are about pushing their own cart up the hill, that they want to own, for themselves, too. They want power and control, and know nothing about serving their fellow man altruistically.

@innertalks Yes, when we have good intentions, we get the right input to enhance our consciousness.
It so happens, sadly, the world is led by those who are up to no good.
Selfishness and ego obscure all thoughts of God-given love that remain buried and untapped in them.

Some even say that we have a superconscious mind, which is a connection, via our soul, to the Universal mind of God.
