The photo is the J. Percy jacket.
I'm trying to be frugal in addition to my minimalism. It's hard sometimes.
Yesterday, I stopped at the ministry thrift store to browse and saw a jacket made by J. Percy, a good brand. It fit but the zipper wouldn't come off all the way when taken to the end. For me, it's no big deal since pulling over my head was easy and zips up.
I had also found a much needed purse for $3, new long tunic I can wear with my leggings (much needed) for $2.50 and a beautiful etched two tiered candy dish for my sugar free candy so I could get it out of my crock pot. It was $1.
I got home without it but calling they said they have it next to the register for me on Tuesday when they reopen.
With money a bit tight and only $10 to spend, I asked the cashier lady if there was a possibility of holding the jacket with a down payment and I can come back next week for it.
She told me to get the jacket to show her and then told me I could have it for $2.50. I was so thrilled! She told me if the jacket I was wearing is what got me through the winter, that is unacceptable and she needs to get me warm.
I spent the big freeze with -4 weather in my travel trailer recently while wearing the $19 coat bought last year from Costco. It's only made for 40 degree and above weather.
We are in another cold spell and I'm so tired of freezing. I'm so excited to have this jacket. it's machine washable but says put in the dryer with tennis balls. I have no idea why but my son said he has a few and I'm going to go over tomorrow to wash it even though they wash clothing there. I just need that extra precaution.
I donate to this same thrift store monthly whether its new items from my son I take over or my own nice items I gather up. They are so nice and community oriented.
I still feel a bit odd getting something offered lower to me. I'm always the giver. It's hard for me to be an accepter.
I hope you all are having a great weekend so far.

I'm doing OK. Still stressed about my life but working it out. I'm moving towards the Olympic Peninsula area around the end of May. My son is headed that way and I'll follow once back from a two week trip I am taking to Oregon May 1st. It's mostly medical stuff but will visit my daughter and family too.

I have a winter jacket very similar to that one and we get temperatures much colder then you have and it is nice and warm. You got a great buy on it.
