What's your dream?

We all have dreams, don't we?
I don't mean the dreams we have while we are actually sleeping. I am talking about the dreams we have for ourselves, for our loved ones, for our life. The things we wish for, the things we might enjoy, maybe time with family or friends. Maybe you dream of a better lifestyle, less stress, better health for you or for someone else, a trip, or even to see someone one last time. We all have dreams, even if we don't voice them.
I always remember the fellow at the end of the movie, Pretty Woman, talking about dreams. He was a street person, I think, but he spoke of Hollywood and dreams. Now I have no longing for a Hollywood life, none at all!
''Welcome to Hollywood! What's your dream? Everybody comes here; this is Hollywood, land of dreams. Some dreams come true, some don't; but keep on dreamin' - this is Hollywood.''
Abdul Salaam El Razzac: Happy Man, Pretty Woman.
I think some dreams don't ever die. We nurture them in our mind, they often carry us through hard times, just to think of them. I know mine do that for me.
Everybody has a dream. What's yours?

We never forget, ever. Someone passes on, and our lives change forever.

I feel the very same way.
In our lifetimes, there are very few people who loved us totally unconditionally, for our entire lifetimes. I'm not talking about spouses, but others who knew us from birth. I had two people in my life that thought I could do no wrong, that I was lovely and smart, and would walk on a bed of nails to save me from peril if I needed it--my Dad, and my aunt that I was so close to (I was named after her.) I will always treasure how much they loved me, and miss them.

No, it doesn't sound silly. You alone know what your dreams are/were, no one else does. I am so very happy that they have come true, Judy! That gives me some hope with one of my big dreams!

Sometimes that's what it takes, to just hang in there and keep striving for the dream you want to achieve. But I'm sure you know that.

I truly do think we need dreams in our lives, and to carry a few inside of us. It helps us through some hard times, and gives us a goal or two or twelve!
You have done well in succeeding a big dream, Valerie.

Thelma, I think we all honestly want that. I know I do not want to be in a hospital, either.

@MarieCoyle It’s gross thinking about dying in a hospital alone.

@MarieCoyle That is a very sad story. I think he didn’t want them to see him dying.

But you've realized it now, and to be living your dream is truly wonderful, Julia.

I had dreams of being an author and getting married. Now I dream of having my boyfriend live with me in this house. Don't know if that will happen.

Dreams do change. Our lives do not always go as we wish them to. I hope you are in a happy place in your heart.

@MarieCoyle It probably sounds very pessimistic but I would get so excited about stuff when I was little and had outrageous expectations so would often get incredibly disappointed from time to time. I learnt to guard against this by never being too hung up with expecting good things. Works for me I guess.

I haven't thought about that, not having a dream. I guess because I've had them my entire life. But that doesn't mean everyone needs or wants one, I'm sure. I know we all have wishes at some point in our lives, maybe I am calling wishes, dreams?
I spend too much time trying to figure out this strange thing called LIFE, Judy!

I think some of us dream more than others. Not sure why, maybe our imaginations are working overtime somehow? Who knows!

My dream is almost like a daydream it is so big. I dream of occupying one of the numerous unoccupied islands in my homeland Guyana. I would move there with a select number of people and live happily ever after. Of course there will be internet to be in touch with happenings in the outside world

That is a big dream. But it's still a very good one, to want to be with the people you care about. And it's healthy to dream.

I call them dreams, but they are not dreams I have while sleeping. They are dreams in my head that I keep there somehow, and take out and think about once in a while. They never waver, they are always the same. Someday...I hope.

It's my life long dream & goal as well to get my
life back on track with getting my cabin back in
order from where my whole life has been torn
apart from getting sick to having my cabin done
the same way, torn apart & taking 4-ever to get
both back on track like it was B-4 I got sick.

I'm sure it will happen, you work on it all the time. You'll get there.
