My friend has a garden, and she is doing a salad section this year. She loves a good radish, so I got her these seeds of different kinds of radish. I’d never heard of a type called Easter Egg. She loves growing new things in her garden each year.
What is the last new thing you tried?

A new brand of lettuce which I really like. It's now a keeper.

@AmbiePam Oh sure. It's Little Leaf Farms- Baby Crispy Green Leaf. Pesticide, herbicide, fungicide free and greenhouse grown.

I've recently tried a few new recipes for foods I like but hadn't made myself before. Other than that, I think the most recent new food I tried was sweet plantain. I've only had it at a Caribbean restaurant, but it made me want to return for more!
I am running out of new foods to try. I now enjoy taking my dad out to try new things!
I'm not great at gardening, and my garden isn't really suitable for growing anything but nettles!

@AmbiePam I really enjoyed them at the restaurant. I did see that they are available at a local market, but I wouldn't know how to cook them. Perhaps that can be my next mission!

I like to try new varieties of tomatoes out each year. This year's new variety is Mamie Brown! Last year I tired Cherokee Purple tomatoes and Hillbilly Tomatoes. With the drought none of the tomatoes did very well. The Hillbilly did make a couple and they were good, but not as big as they should of been. Got nothing from the Cherokee Purples. Will try them again maybe next year.

I no longer have a garden. I do remember some failures in our garden in Latvia like pumpkins that would not grow and a failed corn crop. However, the tomatoes, cucumber, potatoes, and strawberries were always very good.

Not garden time here yet, but I rooted a celery end and have a pot with a nice celery in it. I will be able to use the leaves and such for garnish soon. I guess you could say that regrowing kitchen scraps is my new thing right now.

As far as growing new things, not many the past few years. Last year i did grow some purple sage, and a weird type of ornamental gourd just to see if it would do well. I planted fennel and some heirloom leeks, that worked out. I had not ever planted those before. Of course, I had my tomato plants, spinach, lettuce, bell peppers, and my usual ton of carrots! This is in addition to having access to my daughter's garden not far away. I helped with it some, and we canned and froze our bounty. I need to try some new things to plant.

We get a lot of mileage out of my tiny, tiny patch of garden and theirs combined. Anything helps at this point, and we all love fresh vegetables.

Haven't tried anything new in ages. I hope your friend enjoys her radishes. Have a good weekend.
