How much would you pay for an umbrella?

So, I was looking at some umbrellas as part of a task I was doing online. One was 29.99 windproof and available in several different colors. That too me is too much to pay. Of course I have two umbrellas already and don't need another..but still I am pretty sure back in the day I saw some at Dollar Tree. They may have been hunks of junk, but still. I know I have seen them in the past for 3.00. I thought I was breaking the bank when I got my cat umbrella for 22.00, but that was several years ago. Who knows what they are charging now for it? I wouldn't mind a collapsible, portable umbrella, but I am not paying 30.00 bucks for it, I'll tell ya right now!

I think I last paid for my son's umbrella (just a couple months ago) $14. That's more than I would normally want to pay for one, yet I saw there were way more expensive ones. I figure middle of the road one should hold up . . . I've gotten the cheapie Dollar Store (or the like) ones and they just break too quickly.

14 isn't bad. You should have a decent one for that price.

@much2say Good to know! My Totes umbrella has a rust stain on it, otherwise it's in good shape.

We haven't used an umbrella in decades. I know we have one somewhere; but I don't know where. Have a good day.

@snowy22315 You're welcome. I go from the garage about 15 feet to the car.

30 bucks is too much, as well as 22 for me. i remember the times when small umbrella was 7-8 dollars and big ones were from 10 to more dollars. since my umbrellas were either stolen or damaged, i don't like buying them again.

I don't use mine that often. They are fairly awkward. I am going to have to go to the mailbox today though and it is probably going to be raining so I will probably use one today

I do not remember how much I paid for my "good" umbrella, I think it was around $ 15.00. I have two folding umbrellas that are good to keep in the car. One is a gift from IKEA and another a gift from a local store. The one from IKEA is a very good one, they sell it in the store for $ 12.

I don't even remember the last time I bought an umbrella. I doubt I would pay $30 for one

That does seem excessive. You have a couple somewhere but rarely need them.

I am sure we probably get more rain than you do, but they aren't needed that often.

I can already get a decent umbrella for $2-3. A $5-6 umbrella is already quite pricey. One thing for sure, I won't spend $10 above for an umbrella.

I've never had a umprella, cause we don't have a use for 1 cause all they are is lightning rods to get you fried in a storm.

Never heard of that happening, and not all rain storms are thunderstorms anyway. My biggest thing with them is forgetting to use them, or leaving them some place.
