I made mango chiffon cake for our family reunion last Sunday. I didn’t know if the relatives, husbands‘siblings and their kids like mango. Still I made mango cake. They have not eaten mango yet but I was and I am glad they love my homemade cake. Have you tried mango cake before? Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Only tried mango once and not keen, but having said that I'd certainly give mango cake a go... or two!

Not every mango tastes good. Alphonso is a variety out here, which is highly appreciated and so also Banganpalli.

That would be nice if you can try eating a mango cake. I don’t like much the mango that I can buy here in the supermarket that is why I use canned mangoes for baking. I prefer the Filipino mangoes as they are so delicious. Unfortunately, I can’t buy that here. Not even in the Asian shop. Thank you @Ronrybs.

@thelme55 Tomorrow I am going to buy mangoes at Aldi. I usually make a mango chutney to serve with Indian food. I will try making a small cake to see if my husband likes it.

@thelme55 Yes, but if it's not in season, of course the price isn't as cheap as when mangoes are abundant.

Is it not a common cake in your country? In the Philippines, we are fond of making mango float, a kind of mango cake. Thank you @May2k8.

Yes, mango cake is among my favorite cake flavors and your cake looks delicious. I love eating the fruit itself too - ripe or green, I enjoy them both.
