Have you ever been influenced by a mylotter?

I realized I get ideas for things here, as well as the interactions from good people. I get ideas about foods, and things to do, share memories, enjoy the stories. Today, a post from Lenore Plassman @sallypup reminded me I needed to make some muffins, to use up some more of my frozen/dried fruits. So I mixed up some muffin batter, and my house has heavenly smells of both cherry and blueberry muffins, which are in the oven. I am going to share some and keep some. Do you ever get ideas from other mylotters? pixabay pic, my muffins are still in the oven!

Yes, I do. I am inspired by myLotters who post about their day-to-day activities or memoirs from a distant past. I've also been inspired to post my daily menus, and this is one that I enjoy the most because I love reading comments from others about their menus and methods of cooking. I learn a lot from others. Hope you enjoyed your muffins!

My son is planning on having a muffin for his dessert shortly. He came in and said, ''Mom, it smells good in here!'' so that's a good thing! I learn a lot from others here as well, Macy.

@LadyDuck I usually freeze more than I did this time. But I took some to one neighbor who had surgery, and another friend who just got home from the hospital who had a really bad case of pneumonia. That's OK, because they needed a treat, and I have more berries to use up.

Oh! I do and very often. The bitter gourd and egg fry has become a very frequent dish in my home. I learnt if from one mylotter. Besides food, it's also home remedies and tips to get rid of ants that has helped me

I've often been reminded about something when I post or read others' discussions. Commonly, I avoid food-based posts. I feel like I have nothing to contribute to those. And, I don't like leaving a half-hearted reply.

@MarieCoyle I wouldn't take this back for anything. I would do it all and then some if it meant having my husband here with me. So, of course I am. I know how to get a point across.

Everyone has topics they avoid, I know I do as well. You are sincere and knowledgeable about what you share, and that's all that's needed. Knowing first hand what you are doing as a caregiver, I can tell you truthfully that I think you rock, Kayla.

Oh yes I can totally relate. And even moreso I feel like those of us who think alike are good friends here and interact on a regular basis. It is wonderful. Now, I believe that it is time to fish through the freezer and dig out the almost but not quite empty bags of frozen fruit and make some mini loaves. Thanks for the inspiration, our granddaughters just love those little loaves, 1 of them will do for a snack for the 2 of them.

Thanks to Lenore, my son and neighbor got muffins. We are going to take some to the lady down on the corner of my street, she just got home from having surgery. And then the chain is continuing with you making the mini-loaves. We truly do influence each other. Even the twins are getting in on it!

It happens all the time. Sometimes it's short-term, like "Oh snap. I should put my dishes in too." Or medium-term, like, "I think I'll get some ice cream, like you did." And then there's all of the learning about other cultures. I often share what I learn here in day-to-day conversation with the real-life hoomins in my life.

More than once, I have read about someone doing dishes and it reminded me to go turn on the dishwasher! Like you, I enjoy reading about what others like, and do in other countries. Some things in everyday life, you do not learn in story books and movies, you learn by listening and by doing. Like you say, real-life hoomins.

Scar, don’t push Hoomin too far, he might get even more evil, and give your treats to ‘Moci and P.T. Of course, you could then retaliate by pooping on both pillows.
