Would you want to be frozen and thawed out some years later?

The photo has nothing to do with the post. Hitting our news a couple of days ago was the fact that Australia’s first known cryonics facility has just deep frozen its first client, a man in his 80s. The client died on May 12 in a Sydney hospital and the 10-hour process of preserving his body began immediately. His body was brought down to a temperature of minus 200 degrees then placed in a pod and lowered into a vacuum storage vessel similar to a giant thermos. This process is very controversial and some experts say it will be a long road before they’re able to revive the body and fix whatever killed the person in the first place. I wouldn’t want this to happen to me. When would you be revived, who would be around to care and what might the world be like when you returned? No thanks.

No thank you since science cannot do the things God can for us humans after we all pass away.

Creepy indeed! Who knows what you'd come back to? I don't know how long you stay frozen. I guess until they work out how to unfreeze you and fix you up. It's still weird.

I would have to agree. I've seen this on television. Just because it looks cool, doesn't mean I want it done to me. When I'm gone, I'm gone.

Me too. I don't want to hang around. The world is bad enough now. It may well be worse in some years time.

That is a little less natural than what I opt for when I leave this earth. Scatter my cremated remains and those who knew me will notice my departure, but I don't want to be kept on ice.

Me either. It's the last thing I would want to happen.

@JudyEv It would. And your family would be gone. At least the ones you knew.

I simply can't imagine coming back in 20, 30, 50 years. It would be just crazy.

@JudyEv It's finally warmed up to 22°C outside, so I guess I'd better get dressed and go soak up some sun.

Beautiful red sky. I would surely not want to try this experience, what if something goes "half wrong"? Not for me.

@judyev One trip through this world is surely sufficient. You would only be coming back to die all over again. How silly can people be? If you can afford such nonsense then why not spend the money now to make life more comfortable rather than spent it on something that, let’s face it, is not going to happen. “It is appointed for man once to die and then the judgement”.

I've written a lot about this in the past. It raises so many questions - in fact I could write a book about the practical, ethical, legal and spiritual implications and questions!

I would not with all the Wokeness, and crazy laws being passed today. Who knows what lies ahead! We are losing our freedoms as a society, so I would rather go back to a simpler time. I'd rather go with a "time machine."

No I would want that for myself it's just useless, how can they revive the body! They can't give life. I prefer that my body is just burned or it is gets eaten by the maggots that being preserved for future purposes. Am sure they have other plans for the body like research and such.
