Please pray for me

I'm sorry to be such a whiner, but I can't take this pain.
I'm so thankful all my labs came out negative and I'm especially thankful to God that my bone scan showed no sign of cancer. I now have an appointment with my Rheumatologist next week so hopefully he can do something for this pain that is most likely a severe flare from Fibromyalgia. And finally an appointment for the second nerve block for those six injections in my lower back next week.
That's encouraging, but the pain is unrelenting. Three hours ago I took one Gabapentin, two Aleve, and one Baclufen muscle relaxer and so far, no help. I decided taking a higher dose of Gabapentin didn't help at all. And stronger pain meds don't help me either.
I know there are many of you having much more pain than me. And I will pray to our merciful God that He will heal and strengthen you also.
Sorry for being such a whiner.

@1creekgirl I had a bad flare in my 40's and could hardly walk! I've been thinking about you. I hope you are feeling a bit better! I know that your appointment can't come fast enough!

I guess I'll know for sure if this is a Fibro flare when I see my Rheumatologist next week (I've had Fibro for many years, but never this bad.) But praise God the bone scan for cancer was negative.

@1creekgirl I bet you just wish you could trade your body in for a new model. Did you ever try accupunture? I know Amber has found some relief with that. Awesome no cancer though!

@snowy22315 I know those machines help a lot of people, but my pain is so widespread. I hope at some point I can get a steroid injection in my shoulder, but the rest of it just moves around.

No way, do I consider you to be a whiner! Pain is never OK, it's something you are needing relief from, not condemnation, from someone who doesn't understand I cry at time, because of mental pain. Whoever judges me, I feel sorry for them:( Fibromyalgia is very real, it's terrible pain.

@kobesbuddy I agree, people who never had Fibro don't know how life changing it can be.

@1creekgirl If someone calls you whiney or as with me, I'm called a 'big baby'. It's only judgement, people actually don't understand.

You're not a whiner, Vicki. You are in intense pain and are sharing your trials with your friends. I wish I could do something to take away your pain. I hope the back shots help. I will pray for you and keep you in my thoughts.

@LindaOHio Yes, I was diagnosed many years ago, but never had it as bad as some. I guess I'll know more after I see my Rheumatologist this week.

Vicki, you are not a whiner, you have been through such tremendous health issues.
I am sorry that you are having such a terrible pain day, and I pray that you can relax and find some restful sleep tonight and shed that pain.
I have an appointment at a beautiful spa tomorrow morning, it is very decadent, and nothing I have ever booked for myself, but life was meant to be enjoyed and I will enjoy that.

@Juliaacv I feel slightly better. I fell Friday night (too much of a sleep aid, I think), but I didn't hit my head and it was on carpet. I hurt even more on Saturday than I did before I fell. Didn't think that was possible, lol. But God is merciful, I didn't break anything.

Wish you get relieved of your pains soon. I suffer from rheumatism too, I take raw garlic everyday early in the morning with a glass of water and do yoga which reduces my pain.

I hope and pray you get relief soon, as a sidenote I would advise against baclofen, I had really major side effects from it in the past.

@1creekgirl yes I did get over the side effects thankfully, but they were terrifying honestly. Maybe ask your doctor for better options? Just a thought.

You are no whiner. If you were, with what all you have been through, you would be much more vocal about it all. It's very hard on the mind and body to be in severe pain for any length of time. Can you go to the ER or an urgent care and at least get a shot or ? to give you some relief? Please don't wait too long, you have every right to seek some relief from the severe pain.

After about the third day, I thought about that. But urgent care would send me to the ER and ER would make me sit there for hours, literally, then put me through a ton of tests to tell me they don't find anything and then send me home. Other than the mercy of God, my best hope is my Rheumatologist next week who I hope will have a Fibro med of some kind for me to try. Even the strongest meds have not helped at all. But thank you so much for your concern!

That is quite a handful of medicine. Usually a muscle relaxer does the trick for me. Are you staying warm enough? Household air conditioning, while nice, can also amp up the pain.Praying for you, right now.

The idea of morphine seems like I would need to be in the hospital. But it helped in the past after I was hospitalized with various things.

If pain killers aren't helping l am thinking of natural ways to ease your pain. Do you suffer from fybromyalgia ?. I am happy to hear that the cancer has gone - proves that continuous prayer does work. So keep the faith, together we will beat whatever is causing your pain.
