A beautiful sunrise to start the day

I’m not often up this early so I seldom catch the beautiful sunrises that people sometimes mention to me. However, I opened the blind today to a stunning pink and blue sky. Vince is still in bed and I won’t wake him to see it so I’ll just make him jealous by going on and on about it. I’m good at that. We often catch a spectacular sunset but don’t see so many sunrises. We're going to Vince's brother's later today and will stay the night. Viince has moved from his hospital bed now so we're able to spend a night away from home if we want to.

That is a beautiful sunrise. Here we have a saying, red skies in morning-sailors take warning, red skies at night, sailors take delight. Meaning roughly that if there is a red and cloudy sky in the morning, storms are approaching, are you expecting a storm day today?

I know that saying and it is also said about shepherds instead of sailors. The saying doesn't really hold true for us although it has rained on and off most of today.

That is a beautiful sunrise. I never get to see sunrises. I might be awake then, but I never go outside. I do see sunsets sometimes.

That's it for us too. We don't think about getting up to see if there is a photo-worthy sunrise or not.

That looks quite amazing & beautiful. The Sky has patterns which could make someone smile and may be bring the poet out in them. A nice share ! So would you share images and happenings at Vince's brother's place?

If I find something nice I will. I've shared a lot from there mostly of the garden and the birds. It's been raining all day so we'll be staying in out of the cold.

We are keeping the bed for the moment. He is seeing a specialist about a spot on one lung and we're not sure what will happen after that but it makes sense to keep the bed in case it's needed again.

This is beautiful, all pink, my favourite colour! I see the sunrise almost every morning, not often the sunset. The sun sets on the back of our home and very late in the evening in summer.

The blinds are down when we get up so we don't particularlly notice sunrises unless we think to look - and we're up early enough.
