Not going to the little Tesco today, and my medication review.

I'm not going to the little Tesco again today because of the weather. It was raining when I got up, and I've checked my weather app and it said rain at 10:00am, 11:00am and 1:00pm, then cloudy with sunny peaking out from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and then the sun should actually come out at 6:00pm! My Mum will go to the shop again instead, but I don't know when! She's waiting for the sun to come out! Yesterday I booked up my medicine review. I knew they were going to change it to booking online only but we didn't know when. I used my mobile phone to book up. At first I was told I was No.5 in the queue. Then an automated message told me that from the 16 July (today) it would go to online only! So I was just on time for phoning them! The message said we will have to fill in an online form, then that will be reviewed and then they'll phone you back to book your appointment! There was some elevator music to keep me entertained, then You are No.5 in the queue. Then an automated message told me that they were all busy with other patients, and if you would like a call back press 8 now, alternatively stay on the line and someone will be with you shortly! I thought, I'm staying on the line, thank you very much. You are No.4 in the queue! More music. Then the automated message about them being busy was repeated. Eventually I moved up the queue and I got to talk to a human. I said I wanted to book a medication review. At first she said Friday 26 July at 9:30am, and I said, Oh, no. I think that's too early for me! Then she said Monday 29 July at 12:40pm. So that's when I'm going for my medication review. What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton No rain here, just heat so I mowed part of the lawn and now need another shower. And I walked 5 kilometres early this morning. Another 5 tonight.

I'm glad you managed to mow part of the lawn. I could never walk 5 kilometres! How many miles is that?

@sharonelton That's great to hear it didn't take too long! What are you reading at the moment?

Thank you very much. It actually didn't take as long as I thought it would and I had plenty of time to do some reading afterwards before I got my dinner ready. I.hope to.do some more reading this afternoon too before I get tonight's dinner.

@annierose In my bedroom I'm reading Domain by James Herbert. In the living room I just finished an adventure story about Romans diving for sunken treasure and I'm about to start Dangerous Reality by Malorie Blackman.

That is an experience I am not familiar with at all, but I sure understand being on hold for what seems like forever.

I know what you mean. I was actually grateful I was only 5th in the queue! It could have been worse!

@sharonelton Glad you managed to get that organised at a convenient time. Hope everything is still OK and you don't need a lot of new things.

I'm glad you were able to book your medication review. Today is the day of the Hearing for the Appeal with the US Department of Health & Human Services for my husband's stay at the rehab center. I hope I don't screw it up! Have a good day.

I hope you enjoyed whatever you were doing online and that you were successful with it. I'm glad you're trying to keep cool. It feels hot again here today. This weather doesn't know what it wants to do. We've got to go out to the big Tesco again this afternoon.

It's supposed to rain here later today. I don't like having to call in to set up appointments. I used to get my great-aunt set them up for me since she was taking to me to the appointments and because I couldn't make calls during the day while I was at work.

It can be so frustrating waiting in a queue for so long. I'm glad you persevered and got through in the end. I don't think they ever ring you back, despite what they say.

Thank you very much. It actually didn't take as long as I thought it might. If it goes to internet only they'll have to phone you. The last day for phoning for appointments was the day I phoned so I got in there just in time.

I won't mind the music while moving up the queue if only they would ask first what kind l like.

It wasn't a bad tune but it was very repetitive and it could be irritating after a while!
