I guess Dollar Tree is going sustainable

So, I was at DT yesterday, since I was in town. I walked the whole store and it was a good thing I did, because I kept seeing things I knew I needed. One of them was light bulbs and I noticed DT is now selling LED light bulbs only..well good for them, and they should last longer as well. Also, I saw these cute little cases, I really wanted to buy but I spent much more than usual in there..so they will be for another trip. The cases were supposed to be for tech. I guess I could possibly use them to hold SD cards and what not..maybe a flash drive..but I think I would rather find another use for them so I could carry it in my purse. I am thinking a small compact case might fit in, or something of that sort..possibly could use as a asprin tin, Do you ever buy things supposed to be for one use, but you found another for them?

I always come out with more things than I intend to buy when I go to Dollar Tree. I always find something I need even though I didn't know I needed it

I bought a lot there yesterday, and just about all of it were things I actually needed. I was admiring a little candy corn shaped tree for Halloween, but that can be purchased another time.

@Marilynda1225 I can, and I am shocked they didn't have it out the day after July 4th! What gets me is they start selling Halloween candy so freaking early. No one legitmately buying for "Halloween" would be getting their candy two months ahead of time. It is just so people can stuff their faces!

The maintenance man asked me for scissors to slice through a piece of foam, and I handed him a butcher knife (didn’t know where the scissors were). That’s not quite the same thing, but it came to mind!

I love visiting these sorts of stores. I always find heaps of things I need and a few more that I want, rather than 'need'. lol

Yes. I have several 3-drawer units all around the house that I use for various things. One is in the closet and holds hats, gloves and scarves for winter. Have a good day.

What l have been doing is giving used containers and bottles new life. Instead of throwing them away, l decorate and find new purpose for them.

I should ask the pharmacy if they recycle pill bottles. They might not have a way to sanitize them though.

I Always over spend in Dollar Tree. My dishes came from there. I like the small versions of name brand stuff...I can try things without spending a Lot of money just trying them out to see IF they work. When I go in there, I look at things differently than I do in other stores...I see alternate ways of using the stuff in there as I know I am not paying $5-$10 in another store, and not sure if I can use it that way. And when I am in Walmart and see something that is over $5, and I know I can get it at the Tree...I pass on it and put it on the list for The Tree. LOL

The tree can be pretty good. I was thrilled when they opened one in this area. You don"t usually have to stand in line for long either unlike the stores in larger areas.

It is. I didn't go in with a preset dollar amount in mind, and it is kind of good I didn't because I kept seeing things I needed to buy.

Whenever I browse through Dollarama, I tend to spend alot more than I intend on but I always find some things that I never knew that they carried and I need. But now that you mention it, I was going to go to the dollar store to pick up a new little smaller, thinner holder for some pills for my purse, but I have a couple of empty tylenol tubes that would work just as well. Thanks, you have no idea how much time and money you just saved me.
