Good afternoon. Had a bit of a rough night. George put up a fight going to bed. In fact he spent the entire night on the couch. Around five I started working on him to get to bed. I know I should've left him, but he pees in his sleep and it's important I try to get to him before he's laying in it too long. Most of the time the wet will wake him and he'll drag himself to bed. Last night was one of those rare ones. I joined him of course, But hell if it wasn't a fight. He gets like this sometimes. I guess we all have our days. Other than that, I got evrything done. So far. I have a few other things, and I'm still working on talking George into going to Aldi with me, but a work in progress, right?

It is true, we all have our days and George is making progress and that is what matters.

Do you slap a Trump Brand Depends on him? I pee in my dreams, but I always still have to pee. Then I stumble to the potty. It's only supposed to make it to 97 F here today, but I may visit the pool before work. We shall see.

Looks like mine's not over yet. I think I'm going to have to wake George to tube feed him.

I have a problem with urinating at night, but always in the toilet. I get up about three times off and on, which makes my sleep broke. George is improving more each day, that's a good thing! If George wore a depends, this would work better.

He does. It's not perfect and I still have wet patches on the couch to contend with, but it's better than nothing.

@kobesbuddy Since the stroke, George can feel it when he's going, but not before he has to go. During the day, especially now that it's summer, he does a lot better about staying dry during the day. When I do get him in bed, he's damp, but not that bad by the time he gets up. A far cry from the messes he'd make when he first came home. This was due in large to a couple of things, one, the hospital kept him on a cathadar the entire time, and his stubborness to get up and use the restroom on a s schedule. The other day, he wanted to go back to wearing regular cotton undies, but I was like' nope'. He would soak through those in a second and I wouldn't be able to wash them fast enough.

@kaylachan My mother-in-law had Alzheimers. She would just sit quietly on one end of the couch. When Naressia(Jay's sister) got her up, the cushion was soaked with urine. She didn't say a word, they had to guess that she needed to urinate.

I can sympathize. It's very hard sometimes. My son has nights that he cannot sleep, so then I obviously to, too. My home isn't large, and when one person is up rattling around, even quietly, it keeps me awake!

I can usually sleep through anything. And, I did doze a little bit last night. Getting George into bed was a power struggle because he didn't want to go. If he wasn't as tal, if not slightly taller then me.... I could probably carry him. Hope I never have to find out.

@kaylachan Oh, gosh. I hope you never have to find out, either. There have been several times my son has either fallen, or been too sick to even get out of bed. He is a very tall, muscular guy, I cannot lift him, I have to call for help when that has happened.
