George and I both had a bit of a rough night last night. When he tried to go to bed, he really didn't sleep. Neither did I. I too was up and down. Not great. Wire 3 is coming in a few hours to install my internet service. And, that has me a bit frantic. Also, Chilly appears to have lost more weight. I have a sick feeling he'll be joining rainbow bridge within the year. I gave him an extra dose of his medicine today hoping it'll make him feel a little better.

@porwest Before the stroke, George mentioned wanting to get two kittens. But, when I said 'last cat' I meant that he's the only one left from the crew we brought with us when we got this house.

It's so hard to watch a beloved pet go downhill in health. Enjoy all the time you can with Chilly. I know you take perfect care of him. I hope tonight is a better night for all of you. (Come to think of it, for me, too! )

Yeah. I'm keeping my eye on him. Other than the weight, he seems to be his usual self. I just know that things aren't as obvious.

The years go by so fast, one day they are little bitty bits of fur, the next they are grown up, then they are older and in their sunset years...it all goes too quickly.

Poor Chilly. I hope that if it is his time to go that he goes peacefully. Sleeping in this heat is next to impossible. With added issues it must be awful for the two of you.

Well, we knew he would but Precious lived two years before we realized anything was wrong. I think Chilly will give us another year or so at least. And, by then I hope George's doing much better.

I do not know what to say about your up and down at night. Sometimes we do the same. Is it possible that the heat is making Chilly lose weight? I know he is not out in it, but it seems to me that losing weight in summer is common. How old is Chilly?

He didn't feel like going out today until sunset. However, our livingroom has a lot of natural light. He wasn't hurting any.
