A few years ago I used to made mayo at home . It was good . Making it was also quick and easy . But it's something I very rarely use so I don't make it that frequently. But I remember it was a bit hard to clean up afterwards . Store Bought ones seem to be of wide varieties that I wouldn't be able to make at home . I bought one recently, just the basic one but I really like it . Do you make mayo at home or buy it from the store ?

It has been on my list to make that for many years - I still have not done it . I do hear that homemade mayo is tons better than the store bought ones.

It would be worth trying ! Although I think it only lasts 2-3 days before it goes bad .

@KityCat Even though it does not last long, you know your mayo is absolutely fresh. I don't know what they put in the jar ones that it lasts a long time in the refrigerator.

I am not sure I would like homemade unless I could find a recipe for a homemade Miracle Whip, since I prefer that over real mayo.

I have never made Mayo at home, and God willing, I never will. Bless the people who have the patience, but I am not one of them.

Gosh I love Mayo so much. I will often have it on bread by itself. I used to make it at home, but now I buy Hellmans brand.

Besides, it's not all that expensive. I buy store brand anyway and never found anything wrong with it, and I prefer Miracle Whip style over real mayo.

@KityCat Mayo with an attitude. lol. It's basically mayo with added ingredients and seasonings which gives it more flavor and zing.

My relatives buy mayo at the stores to eat at home.

It is good they buy it to eat it at home. It would be ridiculous to eat it in the store.

I usually just buy mayonnaise from the store. I like this brand of Japanese mayo called Kewpie. And, I just remembered that I bought one during our last grocery run. I think I'll make egg mayo sandwich for my girls later.

Nope, its practical for me to just buy from the store than to make one from scratch. Plus I'm not big on mayo anyway.
