I Spotted a One Legged Seagull Today!

This might sound strange, but I spotted a one legged seagull today. It was just standing there, outside the Burger King Restaurant. Seeing this was so surprising, the bird didn't act any different. It was just looking in my direction, waiting for a handout or two. The birds get french fries, quite often. These birds are chronic beggars and people throw them food all the time. Thus, they keep coming back for more, every day. Not My Photo, it's borrowed from Pixabay Jay said that he has seen a seagull with one leg, but I never had before today.

It wouldn't be a big problem for a bird I guess

Guess having one leg didn't deter that seagull from looking for a handout

That's quite a sight! It’s amazing how wildlife can still get around despite challenges. I wonder what happened to its leg - hope the little guy is doing alright.

I've seen quite a few with one leg or minus a foot. I guess some get tangled in fishing lines.

well, they mostly make use of their wings so that's no problem for them. and seeing as it was waiting for a handout, i guess it has found something he can use as guilt trip, lol..... 'look at that poor thing, it is missing a leg, here have some fries'

How unusual, but I suppose they adopt like a dog or cat would to the situation.

He's lucky. birds don't seem to fear people anymore.
