Another lucky night for us

We went to a choir concert last night. They were three a cappella groups but one guy used a microphone to provide percussive sounds just with his mouth and lips. Some of the people were in several of the choirs.
Our niece’s husband conducted several of the pieces with old and new members of his old choir which has now been taken over by someone else.
There were raffle tickets available and we were lucky enough to be one of the prize-winners. We received two tickets to another choir performance. It will be held late in September and will be backed by Perth Symphony Orchestra. This isn’t our state’s principal orchestra but I’m sure it will still be an enjoyable night.
The photo is of an Irish church choir which our son conducted. He is in the second row on the right and I’m two in from him. Unfortunately, once again, Vince took the photo so isn’t in it.

Thanks. We thought the tickets were for the sympony orchestra but we're perfectly happy to see the choir perform again.

From the photo, it is clear everyone was enjoying themselves. I haven't sung in a choir since my junior year of college when I was part of a quickly thrown-together choir for graduation entertainment. My daughter wanted to play in the local orchestra but it has been restricted to University students since Covid.

@JudyEv She plays violin. The only public performance she has played in recent times is special music at church. She played a violin/flute duet with my wife.

@koopharper I hope she will be able to find more opportunities to play. Violin and flute would sound very lovely together.

Congratulations on the free tickets! I love a cappella music, and those people who can do percussion vocally amazed me!
