I was talking about the roasted radishes last week, and how I would like to try them.,well I found them at the supermarket. I guess they have been there all along, but I never looked for them. These were nice, fresh ones next to the raw beets. I have read the roasted radishes can be used as potato substitutes for those on Keto diets. I concur with that fact..and they were very tasty.Yum!

Yes, the bite was gone...and you also can put things like onion powder and garlic powder with them to make them taste sweeter. The spices are customizable. I ate a couple raw out of curiosity. They were OK. However, I am only going to buy to roast.

@snowy22315 I wonder how they would be with some organic carrots, they roast up quite nicely also.

@Juliaacv probably very good.Pageia on here says she roasts here with bacon. She had a couple of additives as well .maybe potatoes and onion. Eat the rainbow!

I really like it. Next I am going to try jicama fries. Not sure if the stores in this area have it, but I will ask. Sometimes they are surprising with what they carry.

@LadyDuck You can buy it here,,,but you probably have to likely go into the city. I have to go to Food Lion today, and I will check. I am not a big fan of sweet potato fries either, but they are OK and lower on the glycemic index than regular potatoes. I was actually thinking about getting some today, although it would be healthier to make them out of a sweet potato.

@snowy22315 I know that jicama is not available here. I tried sweet potatoes fries and I did not like.

They aren't gross at all. You season them and they taste like potatoes

They do look delicious and I can see the resemblance to small red baby potatoes. Roasting them sounds interesting and I seem to prefer roasting my veggies lately to other methods of cooking them. I'll have to keep this in mind

They aren't great raw. They say the Daikin variety is sweeter though.

I don't care for raw radishes. Interesting that the bite is gone when they are roasted. Have a good day.

You usually find them on a veggie platter or thinly sliced in a salad They are a peppery vegetable
