Sleep won't come

I get that type of insomnia where I am stressed because of something planned the next day and I'm worried I won't get enough sleep to enjoy it. And this stupid stress messes up my sleep. It's like a vicious circle.
Last night I had about 5 hours of sleep because I'm going to a Dodgers game today. That shouldn't even be a stressful thing. I'm ridiculous.

I know that feeling. Here'a tip. Avoid looking at the clock. Mind over matter is one thing, but you don't want to get into the habit of thinking, "If I slept right now, I'd only sleep ____" which only stresses one out.. The harder I try to sleep, the less I'll sleep.

It can be stressful. The amount of people alone would stress me out.

@D_avid My grandmother does that too. I do that when I get really excited. The first year we went back home we woke up at 2am to leave but I never did sleep because I was too excited to leave.

@JordanLader it's like this lives in your head and it keeps you up even though you know you need to sleep but your brain has another agenda than sleep

I used to be a Dodger fan in High School...I lived in Ohio at the time, and all my friends were Reds fans. I like to be different, so I went and looked up who was winning the most that year other than Cincinnati Reds, and picked the Dodgers. Made things more interesting. LOL Never liked fitting in..danced to my own beat.
But wow you got 5 hours sleep...that is my normal night's sleep...I am groggy the next day if I get over 6 hours.

First if all , do not overthink . There is no point in overthinking and beig anxious. Whatever has to happen, will happen. You need to be relaxed and do not think too much of the future or the next day. Think of great things and enjoyable things and not on stressful things. If there are going to be challenges, there are some which are in our control and some not in our control. So, think of those which are in our control and leave other things to destiny. Also remember, a good sleep is vital for performing and functioning well the next day. And avoid sleep medicines unless the Doctore recommends.

I am also an insomniac. Sometimes I don't sleep at all, and my anxiety will strike again. Stress can cause insomnia. Just drink warm water it will help you sleep at night.
