On The Inside Looking Out.

During covid restrictions which included drastic habit changes to lessen our chances of catching the disease - two kinds of persons were quite at 'home' with the rules.
First there are persons who are naturally stay at home types , hate crowds and go out only when absolutely necessary. They are quite at home being at home. Are you one of those persons?
Next there is the cleanliness habit - some persons are already squeaky clean. They are constantly washing their hands, wiping down surfaces and sanitizing areas.
The idea that someone could use the bathroom and neglect to wash their hands is unthinkable.
Are you an extra clean person?

I am a bit of both to be honest with you.
I loved being home, and only going out a couple of times a month with my hubby to get supplies and food.
I was obsessed with wiping down surfaces, because my hubby still went out into the germy world to work, and I was petrified of what germs he was hauling home on his hands. And not just the covid germs, but others, but I have always been that way.
I was always taught that soap and water are cheap but necessary, and I carry that over to the home, all items in the home, as well as the cars, the items brought into the home and so on. Nobody loves to mop a floor, but I love the end result so much. That is actually on my agenda for today.

I did the basics, but l must admit l went to extremes during covid. Like if l went out anywhere upon returning home l would immediately strip and bathe from head to toe. Clothes that l wore would be placed in a special bag and washed with gloves.
Every item bought in the supermarket would be sanitized - it sure was nice to return to normal - for now at least.

@Kandae11 Yes.That's why we were told to maintain social distancing.A nation wide lockdown was announced. Our scientists invented our own vaccine.People across our country had to remain behind doors for more than two months.I can never forget those days.

I'm not exactly the home type, but I'm glad the family was together in being at home together - that made it entirely great to be home. I never minded crowds, but covid changed that for me . . . now I'm ultra careful health wise if I need to be in a crowded situation.
Other than basic hygiene stuff, I've not hyper about cleanliness, but I sure was during covid. I am looser about it again these days, but covid made me a better cleaner around the house .

I'm a homebody. COVID showed me how active I am as I missed going to the Y and doing the things I normally do since I retired.
I'm not a cleanliness freak. I wash my hands as necessary and I keep my apartment clean, but I don't get up and straighten, dust, wash, sweep, vacuum, every moment of every day. Only as needed.

I think I'm in between on both counts.
I like being home but I don't like being trapped. It has to be my choice.
I've always been clean and when Covid hit, I became a little more clean then when I took EMT class I cleaned more. I'm not OCD about it but I am more conscious of what germs are where and how long they last on surfaces.

@Kandae11 Yeah. I like being home. I'm a huge introvert and prefer my home but it's different when I don't have an option. I have a car, I have friends, I can go if I happen to want to but during that time it was forbidden

I am actually the stay-at-home type. But I am not an extra clean person, I do the basics. Washing hands frequently and sanitize areas every day.

I just think being TOO clean reduces your immunity to every day germs.
During Covid, I came home with groceries, and started to wash my hands BEFORE putting them away. I stopped and thought about what the heck was I doing? My hands would touch those items putting them away..stuff other people had probably touched and maybe coughed on. So I decided to put the groceries away...THEN wash my hands. LOL
Then I started thinking about all the things I touched that I am sure other people may have touched...like Money. LOL I mean I give the cashier money without either one of us having gloves on, and she hands me change she receiced from other people without gloves on. LOL From then on NOTHING made sense as to the things people were telling us to do so we didn't get Covid. I upped my vitamin D3 and Zinc...and drank Tonic water any time I left the house. Tom worked with dirty laundry from resorts. We BOTH are not in the best of health, yet we neither one got Covid. Didn't even get a cold. We neither one wore masks unless we were told we had to wear one at a store or resort. I wash my hands when I am preparing food, but unless they are sticky or obviously dirty, I do not.
I decided to just live my life the way I was doing BEFORE Covid, and deal with what comes of it.

What l did was sanitize every grocery item before packing them away. Money was also my concern - all l could do was sanitize my hands after touching the notes, but sometimes l didn't remember.
I always wore a mask when outdoors and l am still using vitamin D3. I did not get vaccinated and l never caught covid.
