Have you noticed how much kindness goes floating around here on this site? People do tease and joke about people being bossy or whatever, but overwhelmingly they are kind.
Lotters go out of their way to meet up. They listen to each other, share suggestions, virtual hugs and prayers. They chat in the messages.
Even members who attempt to pretend grumpiness are kind deep down.
I guess that is why I am still here, going on 18 years.

MyLot does not solve all my problems, but it does give me a place to be. I still enjoy it.

I have noticed. It's not very toxic. It can get heated when you hit a hot-button topic, It doesn't really get mean. or toxic.

Very true. I have met some wonderful people here in my four years. I actually thought of joining mylot a few years before I took the plunge, but you know…life gets in the way sometimes!

For sure, that's how it is for me, too. Sometimes, my legs make me stop and regroup, and that helps me have time for other things.

It is hard to believe--people start talking about "such and such happened umpteen years ago" and I have to check myself, because it does not seem that long.

Well, thats a big milestone. 18 years in mylot. You definitely need to be one of those who started with mylot when it just started. I am just 4 month old over here. So, you should have seen a lot of mylotters during this time and perhaps know the old timers in mylot. I have seen a few grumpy ones in mylot but most are considerate and thoughtful. And I do agree some mylotters do go out of their way.They listen , give good suggestions and prayers as well. Perhaps, people like you are our inspiration in staying with mylot and continuing the journey.

I am not the oldest one here, but I am right up there. Congratulations on finding us. Once in a while people try to cause trouble, but for the most part they are very good.
