Sad Sight

In the neighbors field this morning. There is a dead deer. It got hit sometime last night or this morning. It might even have been hit on the next road over and ran this far.
This is auction day. I need to check if I have enough grapes to pick for that. But I get paid for what I sold last week. That's always great. Being Friday we might have some fun goodies today.
It's supposed to be hot today so when we get home I will just relax. I think I will just have a salad for dinner.

I see so many that have been hit by cars or semi trucks on the interstates and little highways here.more in the spring but more than Zi want to see pretty much any time of year. I used to live about 100 miles south of where I live now,on a two lane state highway. It was almost a daily occurrence to see one that had been hit, no big cities there, and way too many deer.

We don't have a lot around us so it's not very often. I often see them when traveling the highway

When I lived in the country, I did see them daily. Plus every morning about 6-7AM there was a herd of 7 deer that always, it never failed, came through my yard and around the back of my house, to reach the creek and to hang out in the corn field behind me, to fill up on corn or eat the leavings.

@sallypup It's not the farmers here. The area has built up some and they don't think about the critters. I hope she did some good damage to the vehicle.

That’s really unfortunate about the deer. At least you have some positives to look forward to today with your sales and potential goodies. Hope the auction goes well and that you get to enjoy a nice, relaxing evening with your salad. Have a great day
