Big news from California!

As I mentioned the other day, I have one big bold sunflower brightening up my balcony. It appears I will have three or four more soon on the other side of my balcony. We haven't had rain in about five days, but I've been pretty diligent about watering. I sometimes add a bit of Miracle Gro Quick Start to my water. I don't know how high my corn is going to get. I do see abut five cute little ears growing. Maybe I'll give them a nitrogen boost today with some Miracle Gro. How is your Friday shaping up?

My Friday has been a grocery store day, it is still hot and the mosquitoes are horrible! Good luck with your corn.

Thank you! We have mosquitoes here, but they are few and far between. They were everywhere in the Midwest. I guess mosquitoes "do the nasty" around ponds, and we don't have that much standing water here.

@TheHorse We are invaded by mosquitoes and they like me a lot. My friends are safe when I am around, mosquitoes only bite me.

@TheHorse I just finished my 2nd week of weight training. My son is teaching me. He thought it would be good for me. It’s my first time and we do it Mon, Wed, Fri. I have played around with little 3 lb weights in the past. I’ll be 62 the 10 th. I suppose it’s never too late to try new things,

You know what? I may go do a few curls right now. I did so the other day and it did not bother my knee. Exercising is good.

That’s fantastic news about your sunflowers and corn! It sounds like your balcony garden is really thriving. As for me, I spent the day doing a big grocery shopping trip and running errands. It was tiring but definitely productive.
