Ha Long Bay Experience in Vietnam

Philippines

Last week, we visited Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, located about 170 kilometers from Hanoi, the capital city. Though it isn’t a bustling metropolis, Ha Long Bay has its own unique charm. It's a popular destination for both foreign and local tourists, thanks to its stunning coastal scenery. Many people come to enjoy the beach and watch the sunset, while others are drawn to the impressive limestone mountains. You can reach Ha Long Bay by bus, train, motorbike, or taxi from Hanoi, with the drive taking around 2.5 hours. One of the main attractions is the day and overnight cruises that depart from the port, taking visitors to explore other nearby islands. While I found the experience to be average, I still recommend it for first-time travelers looking for a picturesque getaway.

Thank you! I'm not really into hiking, but I cannot resist taking photos of the picturesque view of mountain ranges.

Sure! I notice that you're from the Philippines. Believe me, the beautiful beaches of El Nido, Coron and Boracay are unmatched! Anyway, I'm posting a photo for you. Enjoy!

Thank you. I'd still recommend this to other travellers. Maybe I expected too much, and maybe there are other factors that affected the entire trip, such as the weather condition - it was too hot, and the fact that we're not allowed to swim, and we expected that we can swim even just for a short time. There are also other places that have the same scenery in other countries - the Philippines and Thailand. Tourists were allowed to go swimming in the clear water, and the white sand was pristine. Again, it's based on my experience.
