You Can Literally Be Here Today And Gone Tomorrow

Today, I read that another myLot member, Kharla Jolly, passed away on August 20. Her last post here was just a day before, on August 19. It really hit me—how many myLot members have come and gone since I joined over 7 years ago. I remember Bhem, Owlings (if I got that right?), and even the former MyLot admin/mod, along with others whose names I can’t quite recall anymore. It’s sad to think of all those who’ve left us, but also comforting to know they were a part of this community. It makes me realize how MyLot is like one huge family. We might not know each other personally, but we share our thoughts, stories, and a bit of our lives here. If you’re on Mylot every day or regularly, you get to know who’s always here. When someone’s gone for quite some time, you begin to wonder, “Where is ___? What could have happened to ___? They’ve been away for a while.” It’s a reminder of how fragile life is—tomorrow isn't promised for any of us. One day we’re here, chatting away, and the next… who knows? Let’s say a little prayer for the souls of those who have left us. If you remember other members who have passed, feel free to share their names or memories of them. It’s nice to keep their presence alive in some way. Take care, everyone, and hug your loved ones a little tighter today.

I miss Fredo, who posted daily and whose posts were so interesting, and also Gilly, she passed within the past year. I am sure that there have been others, but those 2 I miss dearly.

@jstory07 I wasn't as close to PH as I was the other two. I will miss Kharla.

@jstory07 If my memory is right, is Patsy the sweet elderly lady I see on MyLot who often has quite a few typos in her messages? It can sometimes be a bit tricky to understand what she’s saying. Oh I miss her too. Fredo sounds familiar, and I have someone in mind, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s the same person. Gilly doesn’t ring a bell as much, but I’m certain I’ve encountered both. If only I could see their profiles, it might jog my memory! @Juliaacv

I’m still processing it. Yes, I miss Fredo, Great Martin, John Roberts, Gilly, and Owlings. You’re so correct, we are a “big family.” I’m praying daily for Linda and her husband and for George and Kayla, and for anyone else I read that has a health or life issue. It’s a good time to tell you thanks for being part of my myLot family.

@nela13 — he did live to see his “22nd” birthday (he was born on Leap Day and only celebrated a birthday once every four years), but he was in the hospital when his birthday came. He passed in May.

Oh my god, I had no idea she passed or that she was even ill. She'd blocked me for a while and only recently started posting on my stuff. Honestly, I didn't know she'd gone. I guess I don't really pay that much attention to the comings and goings of people.

@pitsipeahie I read her obit, because I found a member who linked it. It's sad and I don't really know how I feel. I know her family is in pain, but I think they saw it coming.

I remember Bhem, ridingbet (Ingrid), Fredo and Owlings. I was away for a while and last week I saw a mylot notification that someone is following me so I open mylot again after a while and then I read the news of Kharla's passing. So sad really

Although we have not seen each other face to face, many of us have become close friends as we talk to each other every day. Kharla´s passing was very sudden and shocking. I didn´t even know taht she was ill. Bhem, on the other hand, was ill for a long time. But she was so young! There are many others.

It’s true, we build such strong connections even without meeting in person. We will all remember these people who've made an impact on our community with fondness.

It really sad to suddenly know that someone you had been attached to in some ways had already left this sphere. We could only offer prayers that they will be blissfully happy in the place that they now stay.

It was so sudden it bought me so many realizations about life - that nothing is ever guaranteed. You do not even know when you sleep tonight, if you’ll gonna wake up tomorrow...

Makes me think of the song there is a time and purpose to everything under Heaven, a time to die and a time to be born, I know there is a reason to everything no matter how sad or sudden, Kharla will be missed and I also miss Great Martin, Fredo, John Roberts among others,

I was shocked to know of her departure from another post as soon as I logged in here. May her soul rest in peace. Yes, we have lost a few over the years since I joined myLot. I remember the loss of Bhem, a very young girl in her twenties. She was very active here but pretty sick. Many of her posts were written from her hospital bed.

Life is unpredictable. I have been realizing this for sometime but yesterday's news was a definitely shellshocking. Life ia definitely fragile and unable to know what could happen. We are a bug family here in mylot. Being regular here for last 4 months, we would see many discussions and responses and have an idea who are there and not. I was not aware of the other demises and sad to see all of these. Life ia journey and we continue till our time in another world begins. With prayer in my heart to all the dearted great souls!

Life really is unpredictable. It’s a reminder to cherish every moment and those we interact with here. Prayers for all who’ve left us and their families.
