The rehab facility called me yesterday to tell me that my husband was having trouble breathing; so they put him on oxygen. He was having chest congestion still (from the COVID?); so they took a chest X-ray to make sure he didn't have pneumonia. I don't have the results of that X-ray as yet. When they called, I held my breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop! Fortunately he was not sent to the hospital again.
I will be able to call the judge's team tomorrow to check on the appeal.
We are going to see him today and bringing him some chicken nuggets and fries. I'm sure he will enjoy them.
Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts.

I’m sorry he had to be put on oxygen, but I’m glad it was there and available for him since he needed it. I doubt very much if he has PT while he is having breathing issues. But that can’t be helped, of course. I hope you get a good x-ray reading and that he doesn’t have any pneumonia. Is he still coughing?

@LindaOHio If you are referring to hospital foods, I also dislike them.

Me too! He would spend more days in bed and have to make up for that.

Congestion is a risk when you're inactive. And, he's not as active as he could be.

Surprisingly he had PT on Labor Day which was good to keep him active.

That is a setback, I am sorry.
Are they doing anything to treat the chest congestion?
I have been dealing with this as a result of the lingering cold, and I found that steam from the hot shower helps me, and I have to drink alot more water than I usually do.

@LindaOHio Keeping it at bay and not allowing it to go into pneumonia is key.
Research it and see if your findings are being implemented at his facility, otherwise I do not think that they are doing 'all' that they can for his benefit.

As long as they keep him out of the hospital, it's OK. If they find he has pneumonia, they will give him antibiotics. I hope you feel better soon.

I am glad they were on the ball enough to help him and not just automatically send him to the hospital. Let us know how he is.

Your poor hubby can't catch a break. Is he still in the tent?

He wasn't in a tent. He had oxygen with the little inserts that go into your nose. He is off oxygen now but still is congested and coughing.

I was surprised that the PT guys were there on Labor Day and gave my husband a PT session.

He may be working too hard and getting short of breath in therapy. Does he have asthma “normally”? And yes, lying in bed a lot can cause congestion and pneumonia.

Yes, he has asthma. Fortunately the PT guys were in on Labor Day -- I have no idea why -- and gave him a PT session.
