It was the girl’s birthday today - her 62nd. I’m useless at buying presents, really useless but she always responds with an “Oh lovely!”
But this year an excellent idea fell out of nowhere and I grabbed it with all my hands. Since we’re already in Paris I took her for lunch in a Cat Cafe - so many brownie points are coming my way.
Of course the whole way through lunch she was up and down like a yo-yo stroking cats then describing to me what I was already looking at. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and I felt good about myself.
Now that we’re home she’s discovered a number of flea bites on her legs. There’s no winning.

Well, I am glad you thought of it and she did enjoy the cat cafe. Since the cats always interact with customers I should think that it would be up to the owners to make sure the cats were treated for fleas,

@xFiacre And once Vince read that one rose was as good as a dozen for gaining points, I went from getting a block of chocolate to getting a Freddo frog. Do you have them there? He was telling the checkout lady about this and she said 'why don't you buy a box of Smarties and dole them out one at a time'.

That was a great gift idea. Too bad about the fleas. Have a great day.
