Hospital for Vince tomorrow

Tomorrow Vince goes into hospital to have a lesion on his lung removed. They will test the lesion while he is ‘under’ and, if it is malignant, they will take away more of the lung. The lesion is growing so needs to be removed whether it is malignant or not. I am going to stay with Vince’s sister and her husband for a day or two as they live quite close to the hospital. I am taking my laptop and should be able to myLot just about as much as usual. I know you’ll understand if I’m missing from time to time. He might be in hospital four or five days but it’s all a bit unknown at the moment. The photo is mine of one of the beautiful trees we saw at a campsite.

It is a very beautiful tree. My thoughts will be with you and Vince. I feel for you both, a second operation in such little time must be nerve-wracking. I am glad that you have family that you can stay with. I will be watching for updates on Vince, and only looking for positive ones.

Thanks, Julia. Luckily he has recovered well from the previous one and we're hoping for a good outcome here too.

@JudyEv I cannot imagine the relief that you will feel when you hear the results from the surgeon. I feel that he is in really good hands as they do not want to see him go through another operation when they can do it all at once.

@Juliaacv Yes, that's the thinking. It will be over and done with at the one time.

My best wishes to Vince, I hope it's not malignant, but it is surely better to remove and check. This is a beautiful tree.

@JudyEv It was a good decision to remove it now that it is so small, at least it does not spread.

It is good that there will only be the one operation. As it is so small hopefully it hasn't had time to spread; that's if it's malignant of course.

My SIL is a retired nurse and is the matriarch of the family. She loves having someone to fuss over so I'll be in good hands, as will Vince.

I'm supposing they'll go in through his back and use laser surgery and not leave a huge dent in his back, like my (now deceased) brother-in-law had. Hope everything turns out well.

@JudyEv Some hospitals in Indian metro don't allow family members of patients to stay with them. However in my city they allow family members to stay.

Wishing Vince all the best for his surgery tomorrow. It’s great that you’ll be close by and have some support from his sister and her husband during this time. That’s a lot to handle, but it sounds like Vince is in good hands. Don’t worry about being away—you’ve got more important things to focus on. Hope everything goes smoothly, and that Vince has a quick recovery..
