When is America going to say enough is enough? When will Americans value their children's lives more than their stupid guns? I know the answer: never. But mah guns and 2A.
There was a mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia this morning. At least 4 people were killed and 30 were injured. That likely is not the final count for either killed or injured unfortunately.
I was actually sitting in a school safety training session when the school resource officer announced that he had just received an email that there was an active shooting situation at a Georgia high school. The gasps and sighs were very audible in that room of teachers. It is a daily fear that we go through every time we are at work.
This country's fetish with guns is disgusting. But I guess everyone should be thankful to the students who lay down their lives so Americans can have their firearms.

You know, it’s funny about reading in the “Old Testament” how God was furious with Israel for sacrificing their children to idols, “making them pass through the fire.” Same thing we’re doing.

It’s just heartbreaking. And school is just starting.

Do you know what the govornment and schools are more concerned about? Phones and smart watches in the classroom. Several states have imposed bans and restrictions on students carrying mobile devices and smart watches in the classroom.
They're more concerned about the impact of social media on students' mental health and them being too distracted in class.
Parents aren't happy about it. Many of them don't agree. Because of the school shootings. Because more lives would be lost if kids can't call or text for help.

I didn’t hear anything about it until my afternoon drive home from work when they briefly mentioned it on the radio.
