Rainy thursday fellow Lotters and readers! Its raining non stop since Monday and some areas here are now flooded. Hope the storm stops so that we can continue with our activities.
I want to share my experience buying makeup online. Its really enjoyable buying online , but right after what happened to me I am having second thoughts now.
I bought eyeshadow palette online and a bit frustrated with the seller. The item isnt pack well , no bubble wrap to protect the item. Just the make up box and plastic.
My parcel arrived yesterday afternoon and Im so excited. When I unboxed the parcel, the cracked eyeshadow palette was all over the box , its messy ...One color from the palette turned into a powder like item and glitters all over...
I cleaned everything and promised not to buy from that store again.
Lotters and readers , were you ever disappointed in unboxing an item you ordered online?

I hope the storm stops where you are. Floods are never nice.
I'm sorry about your bad experience buying eyeshadow online. It does look a mess. That's the advantage of buying things in store. You can see exactly what your getting.
Sometimes I have been disappointed with an item I bought online, but not very often.

@iKONICNoona My pleasure and thank you very much. Yes, it's better to buy in store. And beware of prices that seem too cheap because sometimes the price reflects the quality.

Thank you for the comforting words I appreciate it a lot. I agree with you when you said its better to buy in a store where you can see what you want to buy. I only bought online because of its sale day and I tried ..but Im okay now ..

You should have considered filing for a return or refund directly through the platform’s support. It’s often hassle-free that way when you don't engage with the seller. Refund is instant and they might not even require you to return the item. I’ve had a few disappointing online purchases myself but that's not often and usually get a refund if it’s significant enough. Recently, I ordered canned cat food and received all the same flavor instead of the two kinds I ordered. I didn’t bother with a refund since its just about the flavor and the items were fine, but I did leave a poor rating for the seller!

To be honest thats the right thing to do but I did not do it because after cleaning I realized all the other colors were okay and intact its just one palette ruined ..But I did a review and uploaded the picture too so that they would know.

Well as for me, I like buying things online from verified online stores. I have never been disappointed. They do not overcharge and are frank about additional charges like shipments and clearance at the customs. Still, there are a number of fraudsters and incompetent dealers online, so it is a good idea to go for verified and 3+ star-rated online stores.

when returning is problem as well, i understand you. my sister once had a similar situation with some indian medicine or spices. on the border, i think officers there messed everything up but, i think they won't ever be responsible, sadly. i am sorry for this, it looks exactly as you described it. i don't order stuff online, very rarely and because of possibility to get something really bad.
