My petty rage this time is about the rising costs of sending a letter or card ....and with Christmas coming up it is only going to get worse as the cost of a first class stamp is set to rise again in a couple of weeks by 22% to a staggering £1.65
Absolutely disgraceful !
I only ever use second class as I refuse to pay such silly amounts. However, I do worry about elderly who rely on letters to keep in touch with family and friends as they so not use social media or texting.... How are they supposed to afford these prices !
What do you think ?

@traceyjayne I suppose it’s our own fault for abandoning letter-writing in favour of email etc. that fall in demand for stamps has pushed the price up. The knock on effect of the exorbitant cost is that people have abandoned sending Christmas cards so there’s another industry going to the wall. But nice Christmas cards are hard to find - most are downright rude and smutty and there’s precious little do do with Jesus.

It is pathetic. And that’s not even touching on how many people have been getting mail that has been opened already. My sister had a gift card stolen out of her anniversary card. The cost is terrible, and the service follows that same line.

The price of stamps is expensive here too and it's limited me to how many cards I'll send at Christmas time.

Postage stamps are expensive here too but pensioners get a discount which is good. And the actual postal service has gone to the pack too.
