Power Restored

United States
September 12, 2024 6:16pm CST
I lost power, this morning right before 6am. It got turned back on at 3:45, so I was without power most of the day. I kept calling the light company and giving them my address. I tell you, I sure thought I was going to be without power all night. Now, that the rain has gone I'll go out tomorrow and check on the road to see if any trees are down, blocking me from getting out to the highway. The wind was quite scary, since there's tall trees surrounding where we live. Glad Francine is gone, and so thankful to have lights. Perhaps I can have a good night's sleep. Storms are no joke.

We also experienced a power outage early in the in the morning, around 4:00 am. It was just a short duration, though. I was also checking out a strong typhoon coming, but I cannot see any rains. It was a good thing because we do not need to endure a cylone-type of typhoon.

Almost 9 hours without power. A lot of rain and the wind was spooky. Glad the storm has moved on. You be careful and stay safe.

It was strong enough, we had a lot of concern. Being surrounded by trees.

Hurricanes are scary to read about so I can’t imagine going through one.

I hope there are no trees down. How will you clear them if there are? Do you have to call someone to remove them?

Losing the power is unpredictable, so you need to have an emergency light to lighten your house. It is better if you have a generator which is quite expensive, but if you have it, you don't worry when the power will lost.
