Have you treated yourself lately?

Last night I treated myself to sushi. I scored both a California roll and a spicy tuna roll. I even had some leftovers with my egg and bacon this morning. I always get extra wasabi. I like wasabi. Do you like wasabi? Today will be my long day at Guitar Center. But also one of the funnest. How is your Wednesday shaping up?

@TheHorse Yeah when I started having gallbladder issues, I stopped being able to eat it and haven't been able to since.

That looks tasty. I like sushi. I treated myself to a Pumpkin Spice Latte today. It came from McD's. I should have known better. They didn't blend it properly. 90 percent of the pumpkin syrup was in the bottom of the cup.

Sigh. I'd have thought their corporate monsters would demand they get it right.

I, like you, love wasabi. And for some reason they always bring just a tiny bit. I like the feeling of my being a dragon. I´m sure that dragons eat lots of wasabi before they talk.

Slept long this morning and went back to bed after an hour and slept some more. First time I woke up it felt as if I left my brain in a paper bag on a bus seat, and the bus was going nowhere.

My grandson loves sushi. I will a little but not much. I am more of a cooked fish gal myself. I tend to treat myself too often.

@TheHorse .......I do. I think that way too. It has to have a reasonable ticket price though.

Well, we have only one life to live. Was that the name of a classic soap opera? Anyway, treat yourself, I say.

Does eating a few sweets and snacks along with Tea qualify a self treat? Else Wednesday was a rainy day almost throughout with some evening time spent in heavy, crawling traffic. The rain also caused some visibility issues at a few points!

@TheHorse However, we have been having too much of the sweet stuff over the past few days. So need to moderate that.

I would say so. I wish I had more of a sweet tooth. "Does eating a few sweets and snacks along with Tea qualify a self treat?"

I love to eat sushi, but my stomach is too weak to handle it. It was a productive Wednesday for me.

@TheHorse - You need a fresh ginger root, peeled - sea salt - rice vinegar and sugar. Thinly slice the ginger, sprinkle with salt, blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain and let cool. Mix the rice vinegar, sugar and salt in a bot and let it boil and cook until the sugar dissolves. Place the sliced ginger in a sterilized jar, pour the liquid over it, let cool and place in the refrigerator. The day after is ready after a few days it gets more flavor.

I'm not a fan of wasabi. I don't mind hot/spicy things. I just don't like the taste of wasabi. I really love pickled ginger, though. I treated myself to some ice-cream. I really wanted some sashimi but there is nowhere to get it in my town. I can make sushi but I was too lazy for that! I did have some at the weekend as my friend treated me to lunch in my favourite Japanese restaurant. Well, it's not my favourite but it is my favourite that's in the city nearest to us. My actual favourite is a bit too far, although I have previously taken a day trip to go there. Had to get a train at 5:30am to get there by lunch time, and the train ticket cost more than the meal!

I will be treating myself and my hubby's 2nd cousin tomorrow at Red Lobster after she takes me to get my hair cut. If wasabi is that really hot stuff, I don't think I would like it. On Wednesday our housekeeper picked up a load of groceries for me; and then her mother (my hubby's 2nd cousin) came over and knocked out my to-do list. Have a good day. Did you have the funnest day yesterday?
