Well, that Was Fun While It Lasted

Sometimes you write an article or post, and for whatever reason, it just takes off. That happened recently with one I wrote back in June about the theory that Pastor Bob Joyce might be Elvis Presley. At first it only got a few hits here and there, until just recently when the post reached page one of Google search and started soaring. I mean, it was nothing major. But it was still a massive surge in interest. In total, as of this writing, the post has been seen 5,686 times. Hell, even a spaghetti sauce recipe got almost 40,000 views since it was published. But of those 5,686 views, 5,358 came in just the last 30 days, and of those, 4,810 came in the last 7. So, needless to say, it's been a bit fun to see it take off. It is beginning to taper off in the past day or so, down to 377 in the past day. I suspect the ride is probably over. Then again, perhaps it receives a second surge? And then a third? Anything is possible. The best part is that it was published on HubPages, and it gave a massive boost to my earnings there, which I won't complain about one bit. Getting a thousand or more views in a single day on HubPages is nothing new. But it is across nearly 120 articles. So, for one post alone to receive nearly 5,000 views in 7 days is more than a bit neat.
