I found some Jammie Dodgers in our shelves

@Ron Rybs wrote recently about Jammie Dodgers and I said that, though I’d seen similar biscuits/cookies, I hadn’t hear of Jammie Dodgers. In case someone else doesn’t know, Jammie Dodgers are biscuits with a jam/jelly centre. Well, guess what I saw in our local supermarket – in the biscuit aisle? Jammie Dodgers. So yes, Ron, I guess we do have them here. The photo is of some home-made jam tarts.

How about that? You might be able to get them in a specialty store here. Tim Tams are also sold here in places..not widely available though.

@JudyEv Hard to say, but Canada seems to have a lot of English products as is their cultural and political heritage. Very few here In fact we may have more Australian products.

It would be nice to know if Australia has more English products than US ones, or vice versa.

I haven’t had a Jammie Dodger since my childhood. Those jam tarts look tasty. I remember my mum making them from leftover pastry.

It’s funny how you have the same (or very similar) items all over the world and you wonder if anyone outside of your country has ever heard of such a thing. We have jam-filled cookies here, too…of course, not “Jammie Dodgers” (which sounds like a baseball team here ).

Certainly sounds like a sporting team. I wonder how they came up with the name.

I didn't know we had Oreos here until I spotted them one day. There could easily be a lot of US brands that are on offer here that I've never noticed.

Anything with jam or jelly is my favorite! I'm sure we have similar cookies/biscuits here but not called Jammie Dodgers

I so miss those..no Jammie Dodgers here but I'd buy them all the time for my son when he was a child in England.
