Another enjoyable day out for us

Vince put some sort of additive in the car today and we needed to do a few miles apparently, so we drove about 20 minutes to the coast to Fremantle and had a fish and chip lunch on the harbour. It’s school holidays here; it was a beautiful sunny day and everyman/woman and his dog was out enjoying a fish and chip lunch. Or so it seemed. And just look at blue sky. Isn’t that just to die for? We had an hour left on our parking ticket so gave that and our parking spot to someone who, like us earlier, was desperately looking for somewhere to park the car.

@rakski We went to the doctor today who said he (Vince) has to be really patient and that the pain-killers would be making him tired. He (doctor) would expect a lung patient to take at least six weeks to get over such an op but Vince has also had the heart operation so he will take more time.

Since Vince's ops I've been doing the driving but now he drives if he feels up to it. Today, he drove there and I drove home.

Vince had a fish tray which was an assortment of seafood. I had two pieces of fish and a pineapple fritter. I try not to eat a lot of chips but I pinched a few of Vince's. lol

It does look like a beautifully bright day. What kind of fish do you enjoy locally? We cannot 'share' parking tickets any longer as you have to key in your license plate number when you purchase the ticket, that is just pure greed.

What a lovely gesture that would have been appreciated. Skies with no clouds seem to be a specialty of Perth, as I discovered when I visited in 2008.

They have a lot of tables inside and on the verandahs. And I guess people don't go so much if the weather is bad. But they wouldn't close.

@nela13 Our friends have just come back for Vietnam and said that it was mostly cloudy. They noticed the blue sky on their return. Sometimes you need to be without something for a while to really appreciate it.

We don't seem to have anything really nasty when we're eating. There might be mosquitoes and sometimes just flies but that's about it. You might need to keep an eye on the seagulls too.
