Do you pick up the lost coins you find?

I always bring a lunch box to work. Today, I wanted some bread to go with it, so I decided to go get it from a bakery that is very close to work. Along the way, I found a 10-cent coin on the floor, so of course, I picked it up. I always pick up the lost coins I find, no matter the value—1 cent or 2 cents—I always pick them up. And no matter the value, it always put a smile on my face Do you pick up the lost coins you find?

Yes I do!! even if it's only 1 cent I'll pick it up. Eventually all those coins add up

Usually, unless they are scattered around too far, or I am in a hurry.

@nela13 I've seen like a pocketful of pennies scattered all over the place half under cars etc. I don't pick up all of those.

€2 was good. I have also already found coins in the supermarket carts. I don't understand how people forget the coin.

Every. Single. One. No matter the value. It's money I didn't have and I want every single penny I can get.

I do pick them up. It’s amazing how many I find. I got the idea to put them in a jar for a year from someone here on myLot, I can’tremember how much they found but it was impressive. I don't remember who the mylotter was. Anyway, you inspired me to go count the jar. $19.56!!! To be fair, I have two $1 bills I found wadded together in a parking lot once, and a ratty looking $5 bill I found after a big storm, outside by the patio. Weird!! Anyway, I am hoping to hit $20 before the end of the year!

@nela13 I thought it would be fun to see how much I found. More and more, I find change very often. I think people think it has no value, so they drop it and don't pick it up. I don't understand that concept, but that's what I think happens.

Well, it is yes and no. Yes , when i discover a long lost coin in my vicinity I do. I did collect a coin when a hole was dug near the place where I used to live. I have done pciking up lost coins when I lived in other countries . No, at times people could be coming back to find their lost coin or may be it will turn useful for some homless or unfortunate people. I have the policy to keep only what we earned and not the rest and well has helped me to restrain myself . However, if picking up lost coins does not cause any issue to others, then no problems. It is definitely worth a smile!

I understand your point but for what I know if I didn't pick up the coin someone else will and may not be homless or unfortunate people. Like you said it causes no issues to others.

Actually no because I seldom see one lol! But I usually see a bill and I always tell somebody about it or give it to the guard nearby.
