A relaxing break away from home

We’ve been away for two nights taking photos at the Blackwood Marathon in Bridgetown, Western Australia. The marathon has five sections, one of which is riding a horse for 16 kilometres. We take photos of the horses and riders.
We stayed at Tweed Lodge which was very much like a motel unit. There were four units in a row with a long verandah along the back of all four. Each unit was divided from the next by a piece of lattice covered with shade mesh.
From the patio you could walk down four steps to another deck which held five or six bird tables. Birdseed was put out twice a day along the railing and on the bird tables. The birds would flock in to feed on the seeds, mostly pink and grey galahs and ringneck parrots.
The photo shows birds on the railing. You can see one of the bird tables on the right. The shrubs right and left are either side of the steps leading to the lower level. They are golden diosma which we had in Donnybrook but pulled out because they are very flammable so not a good choice in bushfire-prone areas.

That sounds like a lovely place; and I like the idea of the birds. Drive safely and have a good week.

The place definitely has a calming vibe. Being in nature helps me unwind and forget my anxieties, even if just for a little while.

It's great you get to see parrots in their natural environment. Even the galah is pretty cool.
Way better than seeing them caged, for sure.

That is a nice picture of the Birds!
Interesting that there is also a Bridgetown in Barbados(West Indies).
Which one was setup earlier is a question for me.
Can you share any picture of Golden diosma? For what purpose are they used?
