Good late morning myLot!
I have a question this fine morning!
What is your favorite form of reading? by that I mean, do you read only ebooks on your ereader or do you refuse to read anything other than a hardback/paperback book?
I know for years i only read ebooks on my Kindle because i was so excited to get a Kindle. My parents made me wait for years before i was allowed to buy one and I loved those ebooks.
However, I decided I really don't care for ebooks anymore. i have decided to read physical library books.
I have been reading physical books lately
I got two physical library books that are special last week i may write about them when i am finished with them.
what kind of book do you read more often- ebooks, physical books or a mixture of them?

I can read books on my ipad, but I prefer to read a real book. I like the feel of a good book in my hands.

I do know several friends who have just parked their kindle and just read regular books.

@MarieCoyle you know, that is what I am tempted to do with my Kindle. But I am not sure yet.
It would make me less impatient when I have to charge my Kindle, as it always needs to be charged whenever I am at the best part of what I am reading.
Another thing is I am very clumsy and chances are I will drop it once in a while, or I will fall asleep while reading it and it will fall out of my hand and on the floor. Kindles are delicate and while I dislike dropping regular books, chances are the regular book won't be harmed
Have a happy Early Halloween!

I feel the same as you. I recently decided that the feel of the book is the best. After all, I spent almost 40 years reading real books before I was allowed to buy a Kindle. Why I bought one, I don't know.
I haven't read anything on my Kindle in a few months and don't know if i plan to go back

@JESSY3236 I didn't know the title Meir Kampf meant (My Struggle)
Have you liked it? What made you decide to start reading it? Do you have a lot left to read in the book?

@LovesEverybody We would only listen to audiobooks on long car trips. It's easy to get distracted if there is a lot of traffic or other distractions.

I like physical books too! I have borrowed CD audiobooks from the library but i don't listen to them in the car as i don't have a car
were the audiobooks for road trips or just to go places around town?
i am going to start an audiobook today

@LovesEverybody I have a few titles in mind, but I still really appreciate *Chicken Soup for the Soul*. It played a key role in helping me through my anxiety and depression in the past.

I agree with you about having to stare at screens. I decided i am dramatically limiting the amount of screen reading time i have on my Kindle if i ever read it again

Almost all ebooks. It is very convenient. I usually only read at night anyway when I am in bed and the lights are off so it really needs to be an ereader that I use..or something that lights up.

yes, if the lights are off then you need to read ebooks for sure.
I usually read at my desk during the morning and afternoon so i can get along without an e-reader
Do you ever read any physical books?

Since the print in a lot of books is hard for me to read these days I've been using my Kindle more and more. I like being able to adjust the font but miss holding an actual book and using pretty bookmarks

I have problems with print books, too. I forgot I do enjoy the font size as when I learned how to do that I made mine a lot bigger.
I keep reading print books as I have a collection of bookmarks i like to use a different one for each book I read

@nela13 Very true. I wonder if there are any studies done that people's eyes are being ruined by their phones or e-readers? i may do some research as that is an interesting thought.

I am not a fan of digital books. Nothing wrong with the concept, just not my thing. I had a kindle when they were still pretty new but I just didn't like it.

digital books used to be my thing but as I am getting older I don't like them as much
I think the first year I had a Kindle it was the novelty of the idea of having so many books and being able to carry numerous books when one is out of the house.
I bought my Kindle in 2010 and I remember thinking it was the greatest thing. Now I don't think so anymore.
The part I dislike about digital books is if there is a person's name or a place mentioned or a scene early on in a digital book that I want to remember towards the end I have so many problems finding it.In a regular book, it is so easy to look through the pages.
Happy Reading!

I do not have any special preference for ebook or physical book. I use both. I love reading and having that one habit constant throughout so far. Throughout studies it was alsways physical books and later I did find ebooks for different topics. There are few topics for which usually ebooks are only available E.g. IT/technology. I have read both hardback and paperback books. These days , getting a good material to read is itself worthy , so cannot have special preferences for ebooks or physical books. Good to know your interests. Have a good day ahead!

E-books.. The text is bigger on a big screen TV, and it's easier on my neck as well, since I can lay down and read. I also love to use the Search filter
