Not going shopping because it has SNOWED!

I'm not going shopping to the little Tesco today because it has SNOWED! (See picture above.) When I got up this morning and saw the snow on the back garden I was horrified! I don't like snow. It's OK on pictures or on Christmas cards but to walk in it is a nightmare. Even if it hasn't settled properly on the paths or the drive, it could still be slippy and I don't like to slip on the snow and ice. It's not nice. I haven't even got any boots that fit me or don't hurt at the moment.
This morning Wynne Evans has been asking on his radio show:- Where did you meet your best friend? Because he met his best friend, Jamie, on Strictly Come Dancing. I texted him and said:- I met my best friend Yasmin at Church. I can't remember our first meeting, but even though she doesn't come to my Church any more, we've been friends ever since. From Sharon in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
It doesn't matter if he doesn't read it out. I texted him yesterday saying:- I'm sorry you're out of Strictly Wynne. I was only watching for you. From Sharon in Lichfield, Staffordshire. He didn't read that out, but he did say:- I've had some wonderful messages today. You've been so kind to me. I'm sorry if I haven't read yours out, there's been hundreds of them, but I've read every one of them. Thank you very much.
Has it snowed where you are?
What are you getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

You don't know what I'm like! One flake of snow and I'm like, Nope! Not going out! It's melted a bit since this morning anyway, and it's stopped snowing. It was great big flakes earlier.

No, we will be lucky if we see any this year. I love snow. The only time I don't like it is if we have like 2 feet at once or something, which happens from time to time, and it can be difficult to drive in. Plus cleaning the car off is a pain, but mostly I love snow. It makes the world look so pretty and inviting.

You love snow? I hate it! I don't want it! No, I don't like it when it's very deep. I don't like it when it's shallow either! It can be very slippy. Yes, cleaning the car and the drive is a hassle (for Syd! ) I know it looks pretty, but on pictures and Christmas cards! Not on the paths where I have to walk!

@sharonelton No snow here thankfully. If you do go out please try very hard to stay upright. I’m sitting in all day waiting for a plumber to come and unblock my toilet. We take it in turns to drive into town to visit cafes with nice facilities and if normal service is not resumed by the end of the afternoon we’ll have to stay in a guest house tonight.

I'm glad you haven't had any snow. I'm not going out!
I hope the plumber comes to unblock your toilet. Is it really bad? Would it flood if you flushed? You have to go out to a cafe just to use the toilet? Haven't you got a next door neighbour or something who would let you use their loo? I hope you don't have to resort to staying in a guest house tonight.

You stayed home due to that amount of snow? It didn't even cover the ground....that wouldn't stop me. I don't even see any on the sidewalks or road in the picture?

You're not me! I was being extra cautious. It may have settled on the path round the corner, and besides the paths may have still been slippy with melting snow!

I just never really considered that to be much snow....but then again, over the years I have lived in locations that have a lot of regular snowfall. Schools, etc. were not canceled due to just a tiny dusting of snow, we had to be out in it whether or not we wanted to. No choice in the matter. If it's slick outside, I always wear snow boots that have a lot of tread on them.

I see. Well, I'm glad you've avoided the snow, and let's hope it stays that way!

We’re supposed to get flurries on Thursday. I saw a welcome mat in the store the other day that expresses my sentiments perfectly: “Let It Snow…Somewhere Else.”

We have a chance of s**w on Thursday. Actually we've been lucky so far. It's been pretty mild. I hate winter and the shorter days. Nothing much planned for today. Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment; and then we are going out to eat after. Have a good day.

We had some s**w yesterday, but it's all gone now. We just had a bit of frost this morning. I hate winter too, and the cold, but especially the s**w!
We're going to the big Tesco again this afternoon. Well, I am. I don't know if my Mum is coming today, she doesn't know if she's up to it, but we'll see.
I hope everything goes well with your doctor's appointment, and I hope you enjoy your meal out.
Thank you very much.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.
