John F. Kennedy lived in a two-bedroom apartment at 122 Bowdoin Street in Beacon Hill, Boston, which served as his official residence until his death. He moved there after World War II, and it became a key location during his early political career, including his campaigns for the House of Representatives and the Senate. Kennedy paid $95 a month in rent, a stark contrast to the current median rent of $3,800 for similar apartments in the area.
The apartment was significant for its sentimental value, being the place where Kennedy strategized and celebrated early political successes. Despite living in Washington, D.C. as President, he maintained this Boston address. Today, the building still operates as an apartment complex, with a current resident, Jack King, who embraces the historical connection. The apartment remains a point of interest for tourists.
Do you remember him?
This Beacon Hill apartment was John F. Kennedy's longest-standing Boston address. He held it through his presidency up until his death.

I keep having these nightmares that one day I’ll be the last person who was alive when he was killed and everyone will want to interview me for the 100th anniversary of his assassination. And all I’ll be able to say is “I was three!”

He was killed when I was a baby, but I definitely have seen footage of him and read about him.

I don't remember him, but I've watched hours and hours of his interviews, press conferences, and have read a lot of the archives. The last (real) US President.

I remember every bit of his assassination story. Just two bedrooms? Our Government guys should know it. Here they live in palaces.

$95 a month for a two bedroom is great, inflation ruins everything.
Thanks for the historical information.
