Yesterday, Vin and I went on a mystery picnic. The social committee at our village organised a bus to pick us up at 10am. We drove to a place called Golden Ponds. It has a caravan park, chalets and a fishery. For a fee, you can fish in the ponds and take home anything you manage to catch.
They also have a very nice function centre which they hire out for weddings and other celebrations. We had four tables in one corner of the dining room and were served morning tea there. We had a choice of strawberry cheesecake, carrot cake or scones with jam and cream. The photo shows the cheesecake after I’d eaten about half of it.
I’ll tell you about the rest of the trip next time.
