Rainy Day

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a rainy day here and dismal. I miss the sun but we desperately need rain. Hope we get enough for it to help. Areas higher up than us are getting snow.
Since it's a rainy day I feel like doing a big fat nothing. Not that I have that much that I "have" to do but I aways try to get stuff done in the earlier part of the day so I can just relax in the afternoons.
Right now I'm enjoying my coffee and have the morning tv show on in the background. They're talking about Thanksgiving food and what their favorites are and least favorites. I pretty much love everything that goes on the Thanksgiving table but if I had to pass on one dish it would be the green bean casserole.
Once my new stove gets delivered on Saturday we'll be able to put up the Christmas tree. Some of my neighbors already have their Christmas lights up and little by little the community will get more and more festive.

My phone rang while I was in the middle of my post and I'm back to finish it. It wasn't the kind of call you want to get. It was from a friend letting me know another one of our friends husband passed away. So sad to hear.
Now it's getting near noon and my daughter will be taking her lunch break within the hour.
Good thing I said I didn't have anything I needed to do today. Seems as if this day is just going to disappear in the blink of an eye.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s husband. This time of the year it feels especially sad.
I think the only reason I like green bean casserole is because I only started recently eating it. I may have made it so bad in my head that I was pleasantly surprised when I actually tried it.

Thanks for your kind words about my friends husband. It was totally unexpected so it's even sadder especially at this time of year.
I eat green bean casserole but since there's always so much else to choose from that if it wasn't on the menu I wouldn't miss it.

It will be so exciting to get the new stove! I wish I was getting one, but at least I can use mine now. Rained here yesterday and probably will tomorrow as well.

@Marilynda1225 It rained last night, but didn't today. I was glad since I was out and about tomorrow is going to be very Novemberlike with wind, and cold and possible rain The look of the sky right now is gray and chill wind blowing looks like mid to late fall.

I'm excited to be getting a new stove. I put it off tong enough.
We've had rain all day but at least it's not torrential and since it's constant it's probably doing a world of good.

It really was a shock to hear of my friends husbands passing. Unexpected so it's doubly sad especially at this time of year

Finally, no more typhoons. The weather is getting cooler. I have to wear long sleeve top while taking my morning walk.

Bitter cold here with the wind whipping it around at 38F. We're getting occasionally snow flurries.

I like our TV to be in the background too. Our TV is on whether we watch it or not I only watch Crime Patrel, reality shows and news
