Christmas shopping at the big Tesco.

Today we had an extra shopping trip to the big Tesco. We went shopping for Christmas presents and other things for Christmas. We didn't take the recycle today. We're leaving that till when we go as usual on Wednesday.
I went and fetched a trolley when we arrived, and we went up on the lift. The first thing we did was go up by the books. Mum was going to look for Christmas wrapping paper but she went the wrong way for that. So we went round and went to the stationary section where I bought an organiser for my brother for Christmas like the one I gave Syd for his birthday, and also a pen and bookmark set like I got Syd too. I also got a diary for Ali and a Weekly planner thing too for Ali. It all added up to £22.
Then we made our way back to the Christmas stuff, and on the way Mum picked up a puppies calendar for her friend Nan Nutt and some after eight mints. Then we did manage to find some rolls of Christmas wrapping paper. I got 3 rolls that were £1.50 each or 3 for £3. That brought my spend up to £25. Mum also got some Christmas wrapping paper for herself.
Then we went round to see if they had any of Mum's pads, but they didn't, so she took some Always to try. We then went round and got some bananas and walnuts and some dates for Syd.
We went across and got some boxes of assorted biscuits in boxes. Then I went and got some tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread for my Mum to use on her jacket potatoes tonight. Then we went to see if we could find a Christmas cake. There was a small fruit one, but Mum wanted one with icing on. The larger one with icing on was a sponge cake, and Mum wanted fruit cake. The fruit cake with icing on was too small. So we came away without a Christmas cake. But we did get some mince pies, and I got some vegan mince pies.
Then we went across to the other side of the shop to the seasonal isle and Mum got 2 toblarone advent calendars for herself and Syd. Then she got a box of shortbread. And then we went to the till. It came to about £96.
After I'd paid we went and sat on a bench. I didn't have any £5 notes to pay for mine, so I gave Mum £30 and she gave me £5.
At 4:25 we went back down on the lift. As soon as I walked out of the door I saw Syd turn up. So we put the things in the boot and went home.
I had the same dinner as I usually do on a Monday, but I started it late because of going out to the big Tesco.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

You had a busy day and long shopping trip it sounds like!
I have been tagging merchandise for the flea market and have about decided to go tomorrow instead of this afternoon since I am already late. This has to stop! I am not getting things done on time here!

Yes, and because my Mum is so slow and I had to keep stopping to wait for her, it made my feet hurt. I'm better if I keep moving.
I hope you can get that done and get to the flea market.

@sharonelton I made it! I had just enough time to put new stuff out and straighten up the booth a bit before closing!

i've heard bad reviews about Always pads containing something toxic. from my experience - they're good, but can cause rash
i've been catching up on myLot and talking to my family. later i need to go and buy some groceries and that's about it.

I'm scared I'm not going to get it done on time! I've still got presents to get for my Mum and Syd, and my little nephews Charlie and Noah. I also wanted to get a present for my best friend Yasmin, she's been good to me.
I always used Always sanitary towels when I was on my periods. They didn't have any bad effects on me!
I hope you enjoyed doing that.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

We've still got more to get. We'll probably get some more when we go for our usual groceries tomorrow, and Mum is going to the little Tesco this afternoon. (Or she says she is, wether she actually does is a different matter!)
I hope you were successful with your blogging. What did you blog about?

@RasmaSandra Oh, that sounds great. What do you blog about animals? Where do you travel to? What music do you like? I used to write poetry but not any more.

@sharonelton I had a brisk walk, a haircut and a trip to a garden centre to buy an ornamental cat and some fudge as a gift for my wife - the 41st anniversary of our first meeting is on Thursday.

Ah, I see. We always give a dog or puppy calendar to Nan Nutt because she likes dogs and has always had Labradors of one form or another. Syd usually gets a train calendar and I seem to always get cats and kittens calendars although what I really want is a Doctor Who one!

@sharonelton Do they do a Doctor Who calendar? I guess they do. Perhaps you should drop a few hints.

@JudyEv They do several different Doctor Who calendars. They do one dedicated to the current incarnation, and one focussing on all the Doctor's from William Hartnett to Ncuti Gatwa.
