The month of November that will gain another year of my life. By the end of this month, I am going to be one year older again. In my mind, I do not need to worry about my age. It is a part of growing wiser and a fighter in facing challenges in life. I am not sure if I am going to celebrate it though.
There are times that I feel uncomfortable being asked my age. All I know is that it is rude to do this. I am sure most women will feel the same way.
What are your thoughts?

It doesn't bother me. I will soon be 60.

@Shavkat It gives me a good feeling when people say I don't look like an old woman.

@Shavkat It's perfectly fine to feel unprepared. In the first place, you do not owe them an explanation.

Although age does take a toll on our physical wellbeing it has not affected my mind. Yes age is just a number when it comes to mental health.

@allknowing Indeed. That is the reason why I look younger than my classmates in high school and even in university. I am just saying it in a humble way.

I'm honest about my age. Depends on how you ask. If someone's being rude, or asking me when I have listed somewhere, they can clearly see I might just get annoyed.

i don't think it should be a big deal, but i understand the feeling of comfort/discomfort when being asked such question
back in my homeland, i was the youngest in our friend group and everyone was protective over me and that's the setting i was used to.
on the other hand, most of my husband's friends and their girlfriends are younger than me. they expect me to be the wisest one and one girl even said "damn, you're old" - i find it funny because we're all in our twenties

I agree with you. In my country, "The older you get, the wiser you are." They do respect the older ones. I think most Asian countries have the same culture. There are times that I ask my aunt about her age, and she does not want to answer me back directly. So, I just keep on teasing her. When my mom is still alive, she also does the same thing. She just said, "Do not ask; I am getting old because of you."

Most people would love celebrating birthday or looking at age till around 25. From 25-30 , most feel mature and post 30+ many feel they are grown up and are not young any more. Well you can always have the fun side in you , no matter what your age is. There are going to tough times, but then there will be moments to celebrate. Celebrate them as Life is a journey . We should fight to get the financial independence and better life but then we should have the small moments of joy in our life. So , do not bother about age and all. Enjoy the moment and advanced birthday wishes my friend!
