As I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to do baking this year, oh boy! I did.
I baked around 300 cookies and a friendship cake.
The cookies are: peanut butter, tollhouse ( chocolate chip with pecans) orange sugar cookies, oatmeal with raisins and no bake chocolate oatmeal. And I still have about 3 dozen of peanut butter cookie dough left.
The friendship cake takes 30 days to candy the fruit and makes 3 Bundt cakes. I have 2 more to make before Christmas, those bake slow at 325 in the oven.
It wore me out!
I did sleep well so it's a break till next week.
How are you doing today?

Friendship cakes are the ones I used to make... They're delicious! (I couldn't remember the name for them.)
I'm still tired. Workmen were digging up our yard all day yesterday and then filled the ditches in they'd dug... Then dug the ditches out again today. Their machinery is noisy and kept me awake. They're digging down to the water pipes and drain pipes. The landlady gave them permission to dig here.
I didn't sleep well after they left yesterday but thought I'd get good sleep this morning before taking Pretty to a doctor appointment this afternoon. *sigh*
I'm glad you got some good sleep.

No I wasn't sore, I reckon because I use my hands daily at work.

Wow, that is a lot of cookies!! The Friendship cakes sound wonderful and remind me of an Amish Cake my mother in law used to bake around the holidays. For this one, you added one ingredient a day before baking. Really time consuming! And then, what happens if you skip a day?? They were good though!!
