Winter 2024-25 Tales: Wide difference in Day & Night temperatures making things difficult

Winters are about cold, very cold or icy weather. Occasionally mild cold. Yet some days, vast difference in day and night or we can say Maximum and Minimum temperatures can test a lot. Here, we are having the same challenge with a big difference between the maximum and minimum. The maximum us 23 C while the minimum has dipped to 5 C !! So close to Zero C. It is tough for workers, cops and others who have to brave cold weather and winds during late night or early morning. It can be a tough time but well, they somehow manage it !

Where l live the temperature is basically the same throughout the year except for summer time when it is extremely hot.

Sounds like our Summers in my part of CA. It can be 90 F during the day and 55 F at night.

@TheHorse 90 to 55 F is a big change ! Such a change can also sometimes make people sick.

Sometimes there is a considerable spread between night and day temps.

@JudyEv When it is almost the time for Sunset - nearly 5 PM, the temperature starts to drop suddenly and if someone is not properly dressed at that time, he or she can get cold. So one needs to be careful.

@JudyEv Well that is good in some ways. At least that keeps the extreme heat away. Here, the early mornings are quite chilly. We need to either keep a hoodie on or wear a cap.

23 C calculates out to 73 F. That's not cold. That's summer weather. 5C calculates out to 41 F. I agree it's a huge difference in temperature. Today it is 33 F or 0 C. That's our high for today.
