Not What I was Dreaming of.......

No, waking up to a few cm of snow is not what I was dreaming of for today. I had a feeling that we were going to get something as it felt damp yesterday. That and it has been a few days since we have had any snow. This year seems to be get some, look at it, and then a few days later it is all gone because the temperatures got high enough to melt it. I never know what to wear day to day. This is a typical El Nino winter season. But on a happy note, it IS Friday. Who doesn't love a Friday? I am thankful that the new dryer was delivered to our son's home yesterday. That was the big Christmas gift for him and his wife from my hubs and myself. It has the largest drum that I have ever seen in a dryer. I am sure that it will make easy work of drying their king sized duvet cover when it needs laundering. I will work today from home-thankfully no going out in that weather. I will stay home after work and hop on the site to do some myLotting.

We all love Friday, even when we are retired. Your son and his wife are surely more than happy for your beautiful gift. A large drum is a must for a dryer.

Ron texted me that they told him that they did a huge load of laundry last evening and it all fit into the dryer. It has a steam feature which will be nice.

@LadyDuck Yes, they had to since they disconnected their old one. I was so pleased when Ron told me that Klaudia came downstairs after dressing yesterday and greeted him and said wow, is that new dryer ever amazing. They bathed the children the night before and water got everywhere, mats, towels and more towels. She uses bath sheets for them, so Jonathon threw everything into the dryer and it was finished perfectly just 20 minutes later. I had no idea that their other dryer was taking so long to dry items, they will save on their power bill.

We are under another winter weather advisory for more lake effect s**w. I hope it doesn't materialize. I've already spent $90 for plowing this year. Have a good weekend.

This is starting to shape up as a 'typical' old fashioned winter season. More snow than both of us would like.

Yes, I always appreciate the fact that I work from home, but on days like yesterday it is even more appreciated.

Thank you, it is a very messy and wet day out. I did go out after work to the Italian bakery/deli for some fresh cut meats and cheese as we are having wraps for supper with that.

That is a very generous gift. You'd need a big drum for king-size bedding.

Thank you, I like practical gifts best of all. When I opened the door for the dryer I was amazed at how big it looked, much bigger than it did in the showroom when I was shopping for it. Now all of their bedding will be able to be dried much easier. It even has a steam component.

Knowing how hard it is to get a king size duvet dry, I can only imagine how happy they are to get this present.

It is hard, they usually hang theirs out to dry either in the basement or outside, but I wanted something for them for inside and this fits the bill. I prefer practical gifts, and this is certainly that.

Yes, TGIF, and it was such a crazy busy day today. I was so relieved when the work day ended.

Your kids will need that big dryer as the years go by.

Yes, even right now as everything is size large because they have such a big house. Their duvet cover is king size, as are all of their blankets. They need to be washed and dried and this dryer will accommodate that size.

It began to melt earlier this morning, and then refroze late this afternoon. It has lost its beauty already.
