I love trains.

We treated ourselves to first class tickets on the train from Edinburgh to Manchester today - it’s Christmas and the trains will be crowded, especially given the number of cancellations due to wind this past few days. Three hours with loud people eating smelly crisps (potato chips) is not for me. And it was worth the expense. Much less noise, much more space and general comfort, and free food and drink all the way including glasses of Bucks Fizz and a full turkey dinner! This is how one ought to travel. And so superior to flying.

That's sounds amazing. I always wanted to travel across the Nullarbor by train but they say it's not nearly as nice as it once was. And it's very expensive so I don't think I'll be doing it.

Train rides are the best way to travel since my relatives and myself used to travel by train from Balboa to Colon Panama from time to time.
